Free Republic

Moderators
What I appreciate about this 'toon (found on FreeRepublic) is the content. Yesterday my Turkey Hi-jinx photoshop was deleted by a moderator for, what I guess, was pretty much the same message. Not a complaint, they can do what they want, I just find it curious. Some FR moderators clearly wear tighter panties than others. My actual break with Jim Robinson, such as it was, came when he deleted my world scoop of Robert Byrd's ['Democrat Senator: I've known white niggers'] remark on Fox News (March 4, 2001), "Because I do not allow the word on Free Republic. I do not care who used it or in what context." Admirable, but I disagreed, and exercised my option to do my own thing. I still think Free Republic is a national treasure, and would be even more so had nearly all the early content not been deleted.

on a few boards, i have witnessed a 'mccain' like fashion amongst conservative moderators.

the hannity board, has all these liberals coming on, offering the most ugly, demeaning, slander of republican conservatives. the conservative moderators often wish to be non biased, and become more harsh with conservatives responding to the liberal trash.

the end result?

the liberals actually feel emboldened, reasoned discussion is lost, etc.

simply pathetic.
