How Republicans retake the Senate

More Good News!

One of the items on the Democratic House majority's to-do list is a complete hearing of the Abramaoff affair.  Keeping this issue alive is good news.  Public documents regarding likely Senate Majority leader Harry Reid's ties to Abramoff go back to January.  He took money, he delivered key votes. One assumes that the Justice Department had a heads up before that, and due diligence would suggest the Nevada Senator has already received his "Target" status letter.  The question is, how quickly can Reid be indicted, convicted, and start his federal prison sentence?  Then new Republican Governor Jim Gibbons will appoint his replacement, and give Republicans control of the Senate.  I'm pretty sure this is in the works, because heaven knows  Republicans have learned hard ball politics after watching Democrats the past two years, eh wot?  USA!
