Don't have a clue what rung this bell with you Rog but several years ago I read a book called The Third Terrorist.
Now I'm the furthest thing in the world from a tin foil hat guy but you can not read this book and come away thinking McVeigh was it. I've always wondered about that bombing, the book filled in many questions.
And you're dead on about Tim going so fast. Regardless of whether or not he was wanted gone fast, he had to agree. He could of easily raised a stink but for some unknown reason he went quietly. And much too much quickly.
Remember the scene in Armagedden when all the misfits are naming their conditions to get shot up to the asteroid? Parking tickets forgiven, Lincoln Bedroom overnighter, some big Vegas comp, JFK!!! but hmmmm..... no explaination of Oklahoma requested. Coincidence?? I think not.

There is no question Mcveigh had so other logistical help. The guy that served prison time I cannot remember his name was involved more that they can prove. As fot his execution being carried out as soon as it was that is not a big suprise. Ncveigh was convicted in federal court and did not have all the state appeals to go through. In the federal court the post conviction relief process is very clear. One appeal is automatic after that Mcveigh controled his own destiny. He fought any appeal that would attempt to spare his life in his messed up brain Mcveigh considered himself still a man of honor and was waging War. He preferred death to snitching on his help and spending the rest of his life in prison.

Interesting final comment in your post, Rodger. Just how many crooked roads leading to six feet unders has Clinton(s)scurried down???
But this post immediately brought to mind a movie, Arlington Road, released in 1999. It's an intense story, and in the end, Timothy McVeigh, is the question in your mind. Just saying, it left some questions (not that McVeigh was total innocent) . - 11/13/06, 10:52 AM

It rang my bell because I was deeply involved in following this from the get go. There are still many-many more questions that need to be answered, not the least of which involve al-Qaeda. This was a major government fuck-up, at best. That Clinton was able to manipulate this to his advantage is unconscionable. I hate that he was able to corrupt the FBI, but he did, and are.

Rog, you HAVE TO read the Third Terr orist. I'll even loan you my copy. You'll have no doubts this was a cover-up of several government embrassments.

Question: why'd she go to ATF instead of the FBI? Could happen, buy why?
Combine this with all the stuff that's come out so far in the Trentadue case, and it does not paint a flattering- hell, a tolerant- picture of FBI and ATF.
History Channel has gotten bad about leaving things out or getting facts wrong. Usually leaning in a PC direction when they do it. - 11/14/06, 12:38 PM
