Play Station Mania

Try collecting
I just got this warning pop-up about a suspicious E-mail sent by MM. Suscpicious, yes, but for different reasons (rollover).
Sup told me about a Maryland couple who waited 36 hours in line at Wal-Mart for the Play Station opening sale. They each bought one, putting hers on E-Bay. Almost immediately the bid was $3000+, which I am willing to accept as an honest bid. I'm glad I don't care about Play Station.

I don't get it.Why is doing the same thing illegal for ticket scalpers?Seems to me this is exactly the same deal.

I remember standing in line for 12 hours when the PS2 came out. I (and my wife) were able to buy two, for $300 each. Before we'd even left the store, I sold one for $600. The other one got a little more, I think, on eBay.

I wanted to do the same thing this time, but there were tents in front of Best Buy two days before the release. If I'd known you could get $3000 for 'em, I'd have called in sick to work.

If I found out someone called in sick that worked for me to stand in line to buy a play station I would fire there ass on the spot. No letter of reprimand no counciling statement there ass would be gone. They could buy play stations for the rest of the year.

Good for you Jacky. They could probably buy and sell your business for what they'd get on Ebay for the thing.

I doubt it junor boy. But It would not matter If you hire someone for a job and they do stunts like that it means they do not give a crap for there job and there are people who do. There is in this country su8ch a thing as a work ethic to most people.I am sure everyone has not gotton wealthy on Ebay yet?

If taking the time off were strictly a business deal where an employee of mine making less than a thousand a week spent a day acquiring merchandise for $600 that they can immediately sell for $6,000, I'd probably have to cut them a break.

On the other hand I would likely penalize the guy for lying to me because I probably could have found another two or three fuck-offs around the shop to send down there to buy a few of the suckers for me.

It makes me happy to see raw capitalism at work. It's not just for the select few to enjoy.
