Stuff Pelosi - 06

What it's all about!

Just voted.  We live in district ruled with an iron fist by conservatives, and I was heartened to see a fairly long line waiting to vote.  USA-UAS-USA!

Rodger,

I took pride in pressing the button for Ehrlich, Steele etc. this morning in Towson. I loved the entrance to the school that was occupied by at least a dozen pro Republican volunteers and only one pro Democrat volunteer who was shunned to the side about 50 yards from the entrance. Ha!!!!

Slightly off topic, I have to share my Halloween experience last week. While trick-or-treating with my kids and a couple other families, me and the other guys kept count of homes with political lawn signs that were locked down and not participating in Halloween festivities. I sh*t you not, the count was 15 to 1, Dimwit supporters locked down 15 to 1!! Samll sample, but it further proves to me the lack of class in that group of people.

Is the Govan's Grill still around?

As I approached the poll, the usual sample ballothandingout women were there, one simply and neatly dressed with a big smile and friendly "good morning," the other looking very serious, with overlong dirty-gray hair pulled back severely in a sloppy ponytail, bushy eyebrows, Eurocommie glasses, thin lips with turned down corners, baggy sweatshirt, faded blue jeans and Birkenstock looking shoes saying "Wanna sample ballot?"
Guess which is Repub and which was Dem?
BTW, I was voter #425 at 0900. Long line in a solid conservative area - good sign for Allen.

I just got back from casting my vote for Allen- I was number 699 in the A-Ks. Hope this is good news.

dick, that is one great written description of an old hippie liberal!!

My voting experience was informative. After voting Gov. & Lt.Gov, page 2 wouldn't allow me to vote R. I sought assistance and when they sheepishly approached my "secret ballot" to assist, I say, "Hey, I'm republican, I don't mind if you see my screen".:)
"Try paging back" one said. That worked, but then the problem repeated with each page so we decided to close out and get a new machine, at which point the screen message was,"voter fled?" HA!
Anyways, new card, new machine, worked like a charm. Plus I was able to speak with volunteers after and learn their opinions regarding the machines.
All in all, I LOVE to vote and proudly wear my sticker as a reminder for others.
BUT...I don't know if I have the stamina to watch the incoming returns this evening. Vodka or not. Juice

I just moved and could not get registered in time, dammit. We now live in MO, and I really wanted to vote for Jim Talent....

I dont know if I will be able to watch the returns tonight or not. I have faith our guys will win, but I cannot stomach all the pundits, and if I have to see that democrat strategy woman again on Fox News that I watched in '04, I am going to go nuts.

Don't watch ... won't change a thing, and you won't find yourself under a court order for trying to get a good vantage point to Vice President Gore's residence while in posession of a RPG and a bottle of red whiskey. Costs a lot of money, that, even if it was just for a home made television pilot about pest control.

New Jersey isn't a picnic either. My right hand was doing the Peter Sellers / Dr. Strangelove thing in the booth this morning.
