God bless these guys and gals. To lay down their lives so I can have a football Sunday brings me to tears.

My prayer, every night, is, Lord take me instead, let one of those young men or women have the enjoyment of the next 30+ years. I skidaddeled around serving in Nam, just got a high draft number.

I would galdly trade what I have left to have one of our brave troops dodge one.

I shit you not.

The "boys" here in Iraq know why they're here, and did when they chose to come here. The average Marine Lance Corporal has a higher level of understanding of global geopolitics and the threat facing us than John Kerry, James Baker, or a host of other politicians. All they ask is that you recognize the fight, and make their sacrifice worthwhile.

i grieve for all these young people and they are the reason I still have hope for this country. It is obvious that this young Man was the right stuff. Col. Jameson words say it all. The lilly livered politicos in DC are not worth the sweat from there brow. They cry they support the troops but condemn the mission loudly and publicly which puts our enemies on notice all they have to do is hang on and kill some more of these great young folks. There was a time among politicians they had the decency to voice there desent in a more subtle manner but the blood of the troops mean nothing to these slugs when they are trying to gain power. Words cannot explain how I feel about Murth Pelosi who should be taking orders for fried eggs at a waffle house. The contemptable bastards.

It's painful to lose a Marine so young, and particularly sobering for me to read of Pvt Warner. I grew up in Canton, OH; ran hundreds of miles of laps on the track at Don Scott field in front of his McKinley HS before Heath was born. In fact, I was on active duty when he was born. I know the church he attended, and where he lays today, and the road he walked to get there. There aren't many things that take me to Canton, but I wish I could be there today. Thanks Rog.
