Medicare

Old People
Cuzzin Ricky sent me this forwarded a dozen times e-mail plea ... .

5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused.

We are NOT going to grant them an extension.  However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are not going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL(English as a Second Language) training at our expense, etc.

WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE......

If it ticks you off, pass it on!!

Don't forget to pay your taxes...... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

My dear late dad once pointed out to me, as we drank cocktails on the veranda of his Fort Lauderdale retirement condo, on water's edge, that while older people constituted the poorest people in America, they also made up the richest.  Maybe these 5 million are of the latter class, and didn't file because they didn't need to?

That wasn't meant to be snarky, by the way.  Heaven knows I want my free Rascal Getaround Scooter when the time comes.  The only requirement, as far as I know, for being eligible to sign up for Medicare plans is having attained a certain age.  So, why do they have to sign up before hand at all?  I'm just saying, when the time comes when granny needs some stool softener, or whatever, let her walk in, show some real ID, and walk with it at the same cost.  When you make people sign up ahead of time, and send them a membership card, they'll use it at the drop of a hat.  Am I wrong?

I remember that, in the wake of the welfare reform forced on Bill Clinton by a Republican congress, there was such a drop in people using certain services that agencies ran radio ads, begging people to make them relevant, and save their budgets.  They didn't use those words, but that's what it was about. That same mindset may at work here.  Did you catch this [Ted Kennedy's Big, Fat Lie: '36 Million Americans Go To Bed Hungry Every Night']?  What I'm talking about.

As far as illegal aliens are concerned, shoot them up with liquid Ex-Lax when they go to a clinic.  They won't come back a second time.

36 Million?? And here I thought there was an obesity epidemic in this country.

Wait! That's it! They're going to bed hungry because the gummint put them on a diet! Or else they're just used to eating too damn much.

The rush to sign everybody up was and still is to cover expenses. Medicare "Part D" costs about $30 a month which is automaticaly deducted from your Social Security check along with parts A and/or B. Alot of people have a paid perscription plan they like and don't need part D.There are "options" that cost more or less, do and don't cover certain drugs, etc., etc., etc...
They used the IRS scholars to aid in putting together a 37,000 page simple program.
