As I'm still listening to the Bing, I notice a striking resemblance between George Bush Sr. and George McGovern. In the spirit of the holidays, I'd like to remind all of this:
He volunteered for the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and served as a B-24 Liberator bomber pilot in the Fifteenth Air Force, flying 35 missions over enemy territory from bases in North Africa and later Italy, often against heavy anti-aircraft artillery. McGovern was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

No disagreement on the asshole factor. McGovern had to crash land at least once, maybe twice. That's balls.
Again, in the spirit of the Holidays, I suggest that he may have been the last true Democrat (albeit prostitute Dem who may have been first to have gotten them on such the wrong track).

Hayworth writes in his book The Real Jimmy Carter that Carter tried to bribe the Soviets into making concessions in Afaganistan to help him defeat Reagan in That Presidential race. He promised them wide concessions in The SALT treaties and other over seas policy of the United States. In other words Carter was willing to sell out the security of his country to get reelected. Hayworh also demonstartes how Carter so hated Reagan that he labored tirelessly to undermine Reagan at any turn in foreign policy. These facts are well documented yet the media treats this bitter scum as a hero. You folks have got o read the book. When Carter was in danger of losing the nomination for President to Kennedy he held a phony news conference indicating the Irianians were getting ready to release the hostages which never came to pass. Then in the election against Reagan he tried the same thing even interupting the Super Bowl with another phoney news conference saying the same thing. Only the American people were not buying this time.He also tried to portray Reagan as a racist. But it was his aids that were close to Hamilton Jordon that was photographed passing out campaign flyers at a Klan rally in Ga.
