Applegate

Gore For The Defense
I don't know about you, but when Al Gore pipes up in support of a pal who has evidently been caught in some illegality, it sure changes my mind.

Oops. On Wednesday of this week,

There are new allegations that CEO Steve Jobs was personally involved in stock option grants that, overnight, guaranteed Apple Computer executives millions of dollars.

A lawsuit filed in federal court in San Jose claims the options were granted the day before Jobs announced an agreement with Microsoft that caused Apple's stock price to soar. The suit alleges documents were forged in other sets of options. ["Al Gore, Steve Jobs, Applegate"  Lou Minatti]

Minatti scores a trifecta with this observation:

Much as I love Apple's products, I think Apple's actions have a strong stench of illegality. Al Gore appears to approve of these actions. I wonder if Al Gore has profited from such activities? What scandals lurk at Apple with Al Gore? How much did Gore know and when did he know it? I think we will find out soon.

If a powerful Republican (take your pick - Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld) served on Apple's board and approved of illegal
backdated stock options, what do you think would be on the front page of every newspaper in the country?

I'm sure House Democrats will want to jump right on this one.

How could anyone in their right mind put an inept turd like Manbearpig on their Board? This dope addled feeb could't even pick up a bag of cash from a bunch of monks without sticking his dick in a light socket.
Nothing to see here, move along.
