I want to but I won't express what I'm thinking. Don't want to go to prison. There is no freedom of speech.

What an idiot! The best thing that could happen to the Republican party would be for nonstop coverage of tantrums like this to fill the airways until 2008.
Yes it is an outrage that people like that are in the majority, but on the hand, I could only laugh at his behavior.
And for God's sake will someone take his gavel away??

I love it. Barney Frank's head is going to explode.
And this in spades is what we'll get if conservatives are unhappy with our nominee and decide to sit out the next election.

Congrssional Tuna Caucus member Frank swings a mighty gavel as newly appointed "Catcher of the House". "The only male mamber of the Caucus Barny is uniquely qualified." states Nancy "The Tuna" Pelosi, "In fact the only other person in either house that has serviced more members is Sen. Boxer. It's part of our SanFran values push. We are going to put a big red light out front to attract passing sailors too."

I am afraid i have to agree to some point with MM Anon, If the republican leadership annoints someone as they did Poor old Bob Dole who never had a chance. If the Repubs put forth someone that is no different than Kerry or Hillary on political positions it will darn sure not inspire the base to get out and vote. They know this so it is up to them. When the Republican party is faithful to there conservative policies and positions they win. When they are not they lose.

I do have to wonder if any of the Repubs on the floor were heard to mutter, What a C S!

Mencken said that Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

I sure hate to be the one to do this, but – jerk that he is – Frank is right. Points of order and parliamentary procedure are, by definition (at least as I remember them), not questions; they are procedural objections. I’m sure that Frank misuses the rules of order practically every time he opens his fat mouth, but he is correct in this instance. (Damn, that hurt.)
