Car escape and paper folding

Learning Center
While we're talking about Myth Busters, last night's offering taught me two things.
  1. You can fold a sheet of paper in half 11 times, not seven.
  2. If  Mary Jo Kopechne  had one of these in her purse, Ted Kennedy would have been President. [Underwater escape]

Mary Jo was dead before the car hit the water. She was suffocated, not drowned.

She did suffocate, but I have never heard any allegation about it being as the result anything but running out a useable air pocket. Nor do I believe she was dead before the car hit the water.

Mary Jo choked on beer fumes. I'd trust the automatic punch before I'd trust the hammer thing. They didn't swing that totally submerged.

A revolver will punch a window without swinging.

And it can be used to prevent "suffocation".
