First, talking about killing a fellow American who hasn't yet been convicted of a capital crime isn't very nice.
Second, if one of these little bastards happens to get the nomination of their party, you might expect a vist from the boys at the Secret Service to see whether you are going to go all Taxi Driver on them or something. -

Yes, treason does carry a potential death sentence. But he hasn't been convicted and sentenced -- yet.
After conviction and sentencing, that's when we get to bring out the ropes and gallows. -
