McCain double Talk

John McCain versus John McCain

I keep telling myself I'm not going to comment here anymore, since there's nothing new I can add that hasn't already been said better by someone else. BUT...this subject gnaws at my brain like a cheap wine hangover.

I don't believe there is any partisanship between Republicans and Democrats. Their mutual desires for personal power have led most of them to say or do (most) anything that leads to such an end...whatever. IMO, until political candidates honestly state and remain either Conservative or Liberal, we will never see definition of beliefs. And since a lying politician is recognized by the moving of his lips, I'm beginning to understand why so many *idiots* stayed home on election day.

John McCain is a big, "wannabe" for power, and will say what it takes to gain and keep it. I'm aware of his military service, BUT, that was yesterday, and yesterday's gone. What has he done lately for the Republican party he ran on? I'm open for correction here, but this is how I see things now. Juice

I agree! John McCain is just an attention whore who will say or do anything to anyone just to get that attention. He loves having the press fawn all over him and puts that gratification ahead of the best interests of this country.

Remember how he was teasing Kerry into thinking he would get his endorsement all the while trying to torment the Republicans with thought of him being a 'Maverick' yet again?

Juice I sure know how you feel. Do like me, say what makes you feel good at the moment. It don't matter. We're a sounding board here. Hell, complain about that snotty cashier at Ralph's if it makes you feel good.

Commando pads, lol, McCain has a central governing mast that must be served... his unquenchable ego. Not to worry, Newt will be in the game, come Fall.

Juice,

I'll tell you what he's done for the GOP lately: McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform.
To me, that (and 'ear-marking') led to their demise in last year's election.

Deeper and deeper, the web we weave, when we first start to deceive.

The more I listen to these lying MoFos, the more I am inching over to Jack's POV. God, isn't it possible to get someone that says what he believes, doesn't have to think about what he's said in the past?

As someone above has mentioned, the only one I see is Newt.

McCain may be the most conservative of the current Republican front runners, but his ego... He scares me. If he were elected I'd expect to see him rubbing his hands together and then giving an evil laugh, "Now I'm in charge!" Sometimes I think he's a semi-disguised fascist.

Wait! That explains why liberals love him!

While McCain is far from my favorite Republican, I'm not too impressed by the producer of that short video, Robert Greenwald. Of moveon.org. Producer of Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. While he did show actual footage of McCain, you have to question his purpose. And it ain't to get another Republican elected.

I know I am behind but we will never see any meaningful reform in this country as long as we vote against our principals and personbal integrity. Many time we have voted in self defense but it if there is really no difference in the canidates of the parties what diff does it make? At some point we must be willing to move toward someone that might not be the darling of the GOP like Tancredo or Newt but newt must make clear his position on the border. We need a canidate like Washington whose honor meant more to him than his life. He could have been appoi nted President for life a virtual king but turned in down on principal.Bush is a man of Principal but is destroying our country with his open border dream and a misguided belief that we need a Norh American Union. I regret now that NAFTA was ever passed.
