Hankey lies about plane request

On Speaker Hankey's Trail

Last night the local (DC) NBC affiliate Channel 4 addressed the Pelosi jet plane controversy, standing solidly behind Speaker Hankey as she denied ever making any specific request.  She charged that Department of Defense officials were distorting the story as retribution. "There are probably those in the Department of Defense who are not happy with my criticism of Secretary Rumsfeld, the war in Iraq, other waste, fraud and abuse in the Defense Department, and I guess this is their way of making their voices heard,." Hankey, verging on a projectile diarrhea eruption,  complained that Rumsfeld still has an office in the Pentagon, even though he's no longer Secretary, and all she wanted was transportation home.  "I'd be happy to fly commercial, just like I've always done."   She said that.  The NBC 4 team agreed that this was all just silly, and petty on the Administration's part, without acknowledging that Hankey was lying through her corn encrusted mouth.      Of course.
