Investing in defeat

The better things are going in Iraq, the more frantic the screech from the left. Let's face it. Democrats are so heavily invested in our being defeated in Iraq, that they should recuse themselves. I can make a damned good case for arresting many of them for treason, and have come to think about it. They are bad people.

Scene I: House of Representatives. Interior. Camera pans up to visitors' balcony. Decorated soldier rises to his feet, plucks a Purple Heart medal from his uniform and tosses it at the feet of the Speaker.

Scene II: US Capitol, exterior, night.
Crowd of vilagers carrying torches and pitchforks storm entrance, search for those voting for this resolution, carry hapless politicians to steps where they are tarred and feathered. Cooler heads prevail after only a few hangings.

Doug I wish it were so.
I looked at Murtha's website where he has a section titled "Jack's Stance on Iraq." In it he cites a long series of votes and resolutions supporting his present position. Unfortunately, the two-faced bastard conveniently stopped short of the telling vote. I sent him the following email:
Sir:
You left off some history on "Jack's Stance on Iraq," to wit:
HJ RES 114 YEA-AND-NAY 10-Oct-2002 3:05 PM QUESTION: On Passage
BILL TITLE: To Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq
Murtha: Yea

Please have the courage to vote up or down on funding the war in Iraq that you authorized, or impeach the President if you dare. However, your current underhanded activities regarding our troops in Iraq are despicable, beneath contempt and disgrace the uniform you wore.
