Nifong Taunts

Your Legacy is Served Mr. Nifong
Duke students certainly have no cause for smugness. The school's administration and faculty sold the kids out in a heartbeat, in the name of political correctness. My hope is that after all the lawsuits, some guy named Billy Bob will own Duke, and turn it onto a vo-tech.

There's lots of response to the call for favorite taunts on this SI post, but my favorite is a Northwestern football crowd chant delivered while they were being crushed by OSU:

What's the worry
what's the fuss
in four more years
you'll be working for us.

I hate to see Duke win any damn thing.Long before I ever heard of your blog back many years ago i would attend Terp basketball games while sparking a certain lovely young woman that was a student there before she had to transfer to UT. Duke fans were always jerks.

I remember a sign during the NCAA football championship game between Nebraska and Florida some years back. A Cornhusker fan held up a sign that said,

"Gator. It's what's for dinner."

Then there was a sign during the bowl game Ohio State played (and crushed) Notre Dame.

A Buckeye fan held up a sign that said, "Hey Brady, A.J. sacked your sister too!"

Another thing that irks me with these out of control prosecutors is that they use their coercive powers to force citizens to sit on juries for what amounts to less than slave wages.

Nifang would get to keep his 100k/year postition, be in a better position to move up political ladder plus all the other goodies of the position.

Meanwhile, joe citizen, if he's self employed, loses thousands of dollars in income, may lose his house and health insurance and more while sitting as a juror.

Nifong should have to reimburse every person on the grand jury or any other jury OUT OF HIS PERSONAL POCKET...

And the Northwestern abbreviated chant (when getting their asses kicked by Michigan Tech):

"Hey, hey, that's okay;
You'll all work for US someday!"

And statistically, it's quite likely.

NU still supplies the greatest percentage of CEOs and CFOs to the Fortune 500. All the other so-called big name universities don't even come close.
