Nice connect back to Penn and Teller!
One of the best things about hearing these kooks speak, is when they get tossed a question they've not memorized a response to. Facts are irrelevant for them, unless the source of such is a member of their illusionary ilk. - 2/13/07, 10:19 AM

I read a Stephen King book called 'Cell' a while ago when it came out. He's a liberal, methinks, but he's a damn good writer in my opinion. Anyway, the premise was that some kind of pulse struck cell phones...And they turned into brain dead, moronic babbling 'crazies'.
Every time I see those sonsabeeches protesting, I'm reminded of a line where a crazy comes up to the protagonist and starts shouting 'Blet! Uh Kazzalah deh babalah!'
These guys are the crazies in the book, minus the cell phone (Or so they say). - 2/13/07, 10:25 AM

YO Josh. He's a liberal, metinks????? Seriously?
I lasted 40 or 50 pages into Cell, but the steady stream of Christian bashing, George W bashing, conservative bashing, gun owner bashing and the fooking book went into the trash.
His early stuff was fantastic. Cell is now the third book in a row of his I haven't finished. The other two were so wordy, I couldn't stand it. I'm not much a fiction reader so when I pick up one, it's gotta rip. Vince Flynn or Elmore Leonard, stuff like that.

Also it appears the bricks around that tree are mortared which means unless the tree is watered by hand through the hole these asshats dug, the roots won't get water and won't spread out. IOW, it's gonna die - 2/13/07, 11:28 AM

I've decided that if I can't enjoy something because it's created by a lefty, there's little in this country I'd enjoy.

Stephen King came to Virginia last year to campaign for that asswipe Webb that is now our senator.
I've read everything he's ever written, some books more than once but after reading the text of his speech at Webb's event, I'll have a hard time spending any of my money on his future books. But that's just me...

Yeah, and I some time feel that pang of guilt when I think of giving someone money who thinks that way. But the left influences our culture so heavily, that I can't help it. I dunno though, I've always been drawn to leftist things, they entertain me. The genre of music I like, the books I read, the shows I watch. All lefty. I enjoy them, don't agree on a damn thing, but I enjoy them.

Who knows? If they didn't suffer from the mental disorder known as Liberalism, they might not be as entertaining?
I've too struggled with the question over the years and pretty much decided to make each decision based on how much someone has pissed me off. If they have said or done something that has more of an effect on me personally, then I tend to be harder-nosed about it.

I dunno. If this was the WORST that our leftist environmentalist comrades do, then I'd be ok with them. A quiet protest, non-violent (except to the concrete or bricks). Yeah, it is a property violation. But best of all, there's no SOCIALISM involved! And I do like trees...
