I have had Fords since 1970, with my last being 2 brand new F-250s. Babied those babies but last summer, my truck blew a spark plug out of the head. The 1/4" thick! head. The head that Ford issued TSBs about because of the frequency of it happening. The head that Ford wanted $4500!! to replace.

I said you guys were pretty quick to take my check for $32K, how about a little help here? No way. I said to Ford, I followed all the Ford recommended maintenance and on top of it you have a TSB about this problem and you won't work with me? NOPE. Nothing from my dealer or Ford.

I'm now driving a Nissan Titan.

Ford certainly doesnt require outside forces to take away market share as they do such a swell 'in-house' job.Among other things,remember that 'better idea' the variable venturi.I never found anyone,including Ford dealers,who could work on it.After several ass whippings,I got rid of the car.
