I've run a poll during the last week, asking whether our Governor is an adult or not. Well, with some possible choices in between.
The results have been, roughly, 50/50. With half of the respondants believing that the Governor has been acting reponsibly, and half believing we haven't had an adult governor for twenty years. (Governor Victor Atiyeh was Oregon's governor from 1979 to 1987).
The beauty of Vic Atiyeh's campaign was his campaign button. "No More BS". Bob Straub was the incumbent, and lost to Governor Victor.
By the way, Governor Victor Atiyeh is still an opponent of the state lottery. Pretty old fashioned, eh? -
