Dodo

Ann Coulter is no Dodo

I certainly understand why the American left gets so agitated over Ann Coulter. She is to democrats what lye soap is to dirt, a particularly harsh cleanser.  But I've never understood the animus I know exists among some conservatives.  I can only conclude that her candid assessments activate recessive Rodney King genes causing a condition known as "Dodoitis".  Many confuse it with "Lindsay Graham Disease."  They are quite different.

Ann retains a childlike clarity of vision which allows her to see things in black and white, an ability most adults lose after reading I'm Ok, You're Ok. Take this week's essay

I refuse to parse the inane allegations the Democrats are making, to point out that Clinton's wholesale firing of Republican U.S. attorneys was worse, or to mention that some of these U.S. attorneys should have been fired a long time ago (Carol Lam).

Bush should say: "We did it, it was political, and there's nothing you can do about it."

The Dodo couldn't do that..

I believe that some of the licks Ann gets from some conservative people like Michell Malkin and I like her to is a little jealousy. Damn Lindsey Graham what a disapointment he turned out to be. I will wager if the floks of SC get even a half assed canidate they will dump Graham.

It's not like the JAG Corps is really part of any of the services. Ah, for the days when the legal officer was a trumped up grunt.

Ann is deliberately provocative and all intelligent people know that. The ones who are too stupid to understand that deserve to get their knickers in a knot. With most of them it's a permanent condition anyway.

Under all the smartass remarks there is always a very serious and worthwhile point to be made, one that is well researched and supported by empirical evidence.

Okay - devil's advocate here. Some conservatives are a bit put off by her reference to Arabs as "camel-jockeys" and, well, there was that whole John Edwards "faggot" thing.

Yeah, she's brilliant. But you also have to pray every time she opens her mouth that she won't give the far left half-wits another club to beat us with. Today's media does their dead level best to paint all of us with every word she says, especially the more offensive ones.

In fact, her occasional "toe across the line" offenses could be taken to suggest that she isn't as brilliant as we think. It's either that, or she's selling the rest of us out to get her name in the news. Take your pick as to which one is worse.
