House Democrats in Disarray

House Democrats in Disarray

By a six vote margin the House voted to require us to leave Iraq by August, 2008.  Two of those votes were Republican, including my own RMFCS, Representative Wayne Gilchrest.  Fourteen Democrats voted with America.  Was this a victory for the Left?  Hardly. It will never pass the Senate, and Bush promises to veto if it does, but you never know.  In order to get this symbolic vote passed, Pelosi had to buy votes with billions of pork dollars going to recalcitrant democrats. They also were forced to pass a Supplemental Appropriation for funding the war. Sounds like they really have a mandate, doesn't it?    If you have 15 minutes to listen, this capsule  Limbo  analysis of what's happening is worthwhile. [House Democrats in Disarray

Military Prepares For Democrat Cutbacks

This vote reminds me of the Democrats' similar vote in 1975 when they voted to defund support for the South Vietnamese government.

This resulted in 1,500,000 executions of South Vietnamese and Cambodians by North Vietnam and their henchmen.
