Viacom v. Google

Even corporations play the lottery

In fairness to Google, sand it's You-Tube subsidiary, some of the videos they delete are for survival against the most evil predator of our time, the Sue-er rat.

Viacom on Tuesday slapped YouTube and parent company Google with a lawsuit, accusing the wildly popular video-sharing site of "massive intentional copyright infringement" and seeking more than $1 billion in damages.
My recent South Park clip is one example of retreating under Viacom pressure.  This will be an interesting case, if it continues to a jury verdict. I see Viacom's point in instances where entire episodes of their programming have been posted, but a one minute clipought to fall under Fair Use.  In fact, the little clips I, and a million others post are invaluable advertising for the product.  This is mostly about Viacom going after deep pockets, is my take.  Carry on, I will.
