Elizabeth and John Edwards - Snobs

Mrs. Ra'bit is here with the s*it.

Sondarella  wins yesterday's prize. Somehow the depiction of a Republican Party comprised of fat cat industrialist lap dogs, revolted by the specter of a tradesman using the front entrance persists. Today's GOP, the good, major part anyway, is heavily stocked by small business owners who recognize what freedom has allowed them to achieve, and their emp[loyees who try to live by the rules. But, let's cut to the chase.

Elizabeth Edwards: scared of "rabid, rabid Republican" neighbor

RALEIGH, N.C. - Elizabeth Edwards says she is scared of the "rabid, rabid Republican" who owns property across the street from her Orange County home - and she doesn't want her kids going near the gun-toting neighbor.

Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, particularly recalls the time neighbor Monty Johnson brought out a gun while chasing workers investigating a right of way off his property. The Edwards family has yet to meet Johnson in person.

"I wouldn't be nice to him anyway," Edwards said in an interview. "I don't want my kids anywhere near some guy who when he doesn't like somebody, the first thing he does is pull a gun out. It scares the business out of me."

Immediately coming to mind is Al Gore called a slumlord in 2000 for providing substandard housing to a tenant on a rental unit adjoining his farm. Oh, and Hillary Clinton foreclosing on the purchaser of one of her Whitewater dream homes, for missing a payment.  Then reselling it. See how easy it is to find those stories today.

OK, She doesn't like him because:
1) He's poor(can't fix-up property)
2) Exercises free speech( Rudy 08 Sign)
3) " 2nd ammendment rights

Yep, she's a typical Demoncrat

PS. Those surveyors are just lucky they weren't revenuers.

Okay, he is not poor or close to poor. He owns at least 15 different pieces of property -- raw acreage and rental property, presumably his home on Union Grove Church Rd or Ivy Rd -- in the county in his name or in the name of his corporation, Woodmont Company Inc. He does not live on the property across from us, and he has not lived there at any time we have lived here.

When workers were hooking up power in the area, the Duke Power folks complained that he had threatened them with a gun when they were in the power easement right-of-way at the street in front of his property. Not trespassers, not a threat. Guys in a Duke Power truck with Duke Power jackets. I don't mind his having a gun; I mind him waving it people who are actually do their job and doing it legally. They weren't too happy with him either, by the way.
The Rudy sign is fine: it gives us a way to tell people where to turn.

And by the way, he complains that I have never waved hello to him; as far as I know, I have never laid eyes on him. Remember, he is not actually my neighbor. His tenants are my neighbors, and I have waved to them when our paths cross.

Just so you know, I posted here not because I expect a friendly ear, but because whether we agree or not, you deserve the truth.

Mrs. Edwards, if that really was you, thanks for the facts. We don't want fake facts to work with but some slip through. Besides, we are usually to busy with all the stuff that is true. No more said on the situation by me unless I've been misled...

Thank you again, my prayers are with you.

I did a little bit of research and discovered that Monty is not listed on the streets "Mrs. Edwards" claimed he was. Hmmm, what a surprise. But unlike our nasty little Lib fiends I was not going to attempt savage heel-biting attacks. We still have manners. Can't get anything by Juice though. I like you more and more as the days go by. Surprised me that Mrs. E didn't freak over the prayer part (should have been a clue but I was busy being nice). Oh well, live and learn. Thanks for watching my back.
