I thought this was a gag until I tried it. Hm, that's a pretty long swim.... maybe I should rent a rowboat?

That's fun but it bring's up a question...If my destination is say Oban Scotland, which is seaside in West Scotland, why do I want to swim to Le Havre,France and then go by land to the chunnel and drive all the way across England and Scotland to get there? Would going by ship take me to Le Havre? When I was in France in 1957 I saw the Queen Mary leaving Cherbourg.Don't know where the liners tie up now.

My question is the same.....why don't I just make a hard left at the Irish Sea, up the River Liffey (or whatever the hell runs through Dublin, I think that's right) and I'm there, forget about landing in Froggy-land, taking the Chunnel train, crossing Wales, getting a ferry, etc.....besides, it's shorter, and I think I'd be pretty tired of swimming by that poing.

Rodger,
Ah, it's all very clear to me now since you provided the link. Me likes the female brain also. I can tell both were thunk up by men! :~)
