Takes on Waxman & Reid

This morning on Fox & Friends John McCain was asked about Henry Waxman's demand for an apology for his horseplay on the Daily Show. "Apologize to who," he asked rhetorically, "for joking around on a comedy show? A moment later when asked about Harry Reid's declaration that the war in Iraq was lost, McCain responded, "Well if we lost, who won? Al-Qaeda? Iran?" Perfect. Should Reid be forced to resign from his position as Senate Majority Leader? McCain said that's up to Democrats, but it's clear that in some quarters politics has trumped good sense and patriotism. (My quotes are from memory, but essentially accurate)

And John Edwards? Lord, how in the world can anybody take him seriously. I had the stomach churning chance to listen to him for almost an hour on Ed Schlutz. Talk about vacuuous. It was one sound bite after another. Not one answer of substance. And the most revolting aspect was how the audience ate it up.
