Outrage in Olympia

Parole Revoked Because Boy Attended Church

Court appointed shrink has issues with religion.

This is SondraK's post.  One of the most outrageous things I've ever heard of.  This is Washington state, so if anyone has suggestions please contact SondraK.

Let’s see if I can explain this without all the commercials..
The “adult” son ( he’s severely developmentally disabled and now 20) of my very good friend was found and convicted of molesting a younger boy who in the round abouts of hers and his blended 1/2 families would be like a 1/2 brother of no blood relation. He’s never denied that it happened and the courts decided on a VERY restrictive parole after he was released from jail after 6 months as a Level 1 offender. He lives in our neighborhood and all of us having known the family and the boy are cautious but have no problem having him here under his parents supervision.

His requirements are steady employment (no small feat for his mental abilities) and weekly sex offender therapy sessions for 7 years which HE is required to pay for. There are only 2 therapists that fit the requirements and one testified against him in court after only reviewing the case and never having met him in a therapy session (he’d never actually even HAD a session at the time).

Stay with me here, I’m trying. There’s a lot of details I cannot divulge about this woman (his therapist) and the case but I assure you, they’re all quite startling with regard to the personal beliefs of this therapist and things she has said to the boy and his parents.

OK. So here’s the problem....
My friend and her husband are very very Christian and the boy had begun to turn toward faith as the whole situation was playing out and seems to have gained a lot of strength and humility in the process. He’s now embraced Christianity and G*d pretty deep.

That’s not the problem.

His therapist ( NOT the courts) forbade him from attending church. Without going into details but having some knowledge of this woman she’s got some issues with G*d....in particular it appears with Him being the boys higher power instead of her. *sneer* Where was his GAWD when he committed this crime???*sneer*

Well, Sunday he went to church. The church is not only fully aware of his situation but they even have protocol in place for it.

Today he was re-arrested (for telling them that he went to church) at his weekly check in with his parole officer who informed the family that they will no longer be suitable as his escorts and he will no longer be allowed to live in their home under their supervision. He’ll likely lose his job and his ability to pay for his therapy due to this......and go to prison for 7 years. The family has bent over backwards to comply with every detail of his parole stipulations and have.

They called the ACLU this morning for some help and were told it’s not a case that they would get involved in as it’s an “individual”. Buh-bye.

I have to run out for my evening rounds but I’m so bewildered by this and I was hoping some of you could offer some advice. It’s like there’s no where for my friend to turn and we’re all just stunned.

The only advise I can offer is extreme. I would kidnap my kid and head for the hills. Outlawing therapists would be a good thing. Never have I heard of them doing anything that you can't do for yourself or with the help of God or even family or friends.

I Think Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard's Almanac said "The therapist is useful as tits on a boar hog"....Nah,I'm kidding... It was Sigmund Frued.

The best thing that could be done is drag this situation out into the light of the internet. This story is Drudgeable, and only the judge can make this story turn out right. Without becoming a cause celebre, chances are that the court will rubberstamp the "therapist's" opinion.

I sent it to Joe Farah at WorldNetDaily.

Yep.

Bad publicity is the only thing these turds are afraid of.

The ACLU is worthless unless you are dealing with one of their pet hot buttons. If the judge had mandated church attendance, they would be all over this.

Yea, the only immediate thing to do is what you are doing. Make this as public as you can. Newspapers, Evening Local News, Blogs...send it o every corner.

Hiring a private Dick to drudge up every thing dirty on the therapist to discount her as authority may/will come in handy as this escalates.

Blessings.

Just tell the ACLU that the boy is muslim: they'll take his case. Actually, if the "therapist" and the parole officer had been told that the boy went to the mosque, nobody would have piped a word...
