Pravda on Imus

New York Times East

The little paper that could

Pravda, the brave little Russian newspaper that boasts "all the news that's fit to print," as I recollect, and which has braved violent suppression by Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev , and now Putin,  in order to deliver the unvarnished truth,  has weighed in on Don Imus. Bush wanted him out.

MAN! How the hell did Pravda beat the BBC and the NY Times to that stellar report?

lol, there's an old Russian joke about Pravda (truth) and Izvestya (news), that goes, "There's no truth in the news, and no news in the truth."

Closer to the truth than you may suspect. It seems that Imus' ratings were, for the first time, higher than CNN's. So.... once this story broke, who ran the dirty laundry 24-7 and called for Imus' firing? Yep -- CNN.

So there we have it. CNN & Pravda on the same side of the story.
