''A 19th-century notion of national sovereignty''

But daddy, what possible reason could people have to scare us about stuff that isn't true?
A 19th-century notion of national sovereignty allows sub groups to pursue agendas without regard for their effects on the whole. But this wrongly assumes that the health of the whole is a matter of indifference to the group. The United States has long refused to temper its claim to radical independence from all other nations, but that both defines the source of America's disproportionate ecological destructiveness and impedes every effort to mitigate it. There will be no stopping environmental degradation until nations stop thinking of independent sovereignty as an absolute. Climate change respects no borders.

There you have it from Boston Globe columnist James Carroll in "New thinking to save the earth."  The world is doomed by American intransigency in submitting to One World Government (aka, The Third Way, aka  Modern Communism, aka Old Fashioned Fascism).

The urgency of such events comes from recent scientific reports that make impending ecological catastrophes more vivid than ever. Nations and municipalities must begin now to plan for effects on drinking water, sea levels, toxins, and various social dislocations that already seem inevitable. Not even the Bush administration any longer argues that climate change is a minor issue, unrelated to human activity.

This goes to the heart of why we must be concerned about these True Believers. Certainly Carrol is aware of widespread ridicule of this global warming hysteria, among large segments of the world scientific community, yet he, in Algore fashion, blithely dismisses them by ignoring it. His dogma is ascendant in our leftist dominated media, and a threat to the Republic. I personally see no difference in these delusional popinjays and the Julius Rosenberg types who betrayed us.

It also goes to a disquieting practice by certain Republicans to cede to positions they know to be false, but widely accepted as fact, in order to fight them on new populist terms. This is not only morally reprehensible, and cowardly, it never works (are you listening Newt?).

Talk about dangerous. this mind set absolutely spells the end of our Republic and our freedom. This individual should be shunned by anyone that values freedom and common decency.

Would wiping these commie pricks off the face of the earth be considered genocide, or a favor to the world?

p.s. I personally would rather kill them all, and let what ever god(s) they worship sort them out, because I'm sick and tired of these "progressives".
