Shalala and Speech Codes

IT'S GOING TO EAT YOU!

Remarkably absent from Donna Shalala's Wikipedia entry (a nice project for somebody) is any mention of her reign of error as Chancellor University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1987-1993.  Remarkable because she must be among the few educators whose policies have been declared unconstitutional by a federal court, as was her campus speech code  in 1991. Still, it paid off for her. Shalala's stellar performance as multi-diversity thug caught the eye of the new co-President of the United States. In 1993 Shalala was appointed to Hillary's cabinet as secretary of Health and Human Services, where her policies were also struck down by a federal court

A student of those times, Donald Alexander Downs, was thus moved to write Restoring Free Speech and Liberty on Campus. Here's a snippet about that bastion of free speech, U.C. Berkeley.

"
Many Boalt students act as if their education is threatened whenever any conservative view is expressed. One conservative opinion per class is more than they can stand.…almost any time a lone conservative tried to raise his or her voice during my years at Boalt, things got ugly. Fists, rather than hands, were raised. Eyes rolled. Glares flashed. Intolerance radiated. Diversity of mind was declared dangerous and unwanted.… [source]

What set me off on this mini-rant is today's WaTimes editorial [It's called 'free speech] about Georgia Tech speech nazism. My feelings on the matter aside, the squelched students have every right to engage the controversy.

In olden times (pre television) Movietone and Pathé news features, shown just before the cartoon at the Bijou, used a device to show the spread of threatening movements, like nazism, communism, the Democrat Party, and Hula-Hoops. Superimposed on a map, a curtain of black blood would envelope the consumed area. That's the mental vision I have now. Eastern Liberalism, and it's close cousin West Coast communism, are seeping into America's Heartland South. North Carolina is eaten and digested; Georgia is served.

"Safe Space" program declared certain biblical interpretations on homosexuality to be wrong, comparable to slavery apologias.

Leave to Liberals to compare social history to biblical history.

When the daily news fills my gut with its non-stop evil-is-good madness, I'm forever thankful that God does not change. The Bible is one thing we can count on to remain steadfast. I'm grateful to be know the Truth.

And.

It's the only thing keeping me from a search and destroy mission in any state or national capital building. (I'd even wear diapers to save time.) And yet Christians are as "radical as any muslims;" thank you Rosie o'D and her DUG friends.

It is worth noting that after receiving this prestigious award, Donna Shalala openly violated student's 1st ammendment rights on campus by banning a student magazine (back\slash magazine) from the University of Miami.
