Eurabia

I smell something burning

Here are selected snippets from Geneva Revisited, by Christopher Orlet

Behind multiculturalism was the conceit that various tribes, races, and sects embracing radically different or opposing values -- indeed encouraged to embrace different values -- might live together in peace and harmony.

*snip*

IN HIS BOOK The West's Last Chance Tony Blankley paints a bleak picture of a future "Eurabia" where fundamental Islam has achieved considerable political influence. Classical statues and paintings are covered or destroyed. Islamic codes of conduct are strictly enforced. We see Europe returning to Calvin's Geneva of a half millennium ago, only orthodox Muslims, not Protestants, are in charge.

Only it didn't quite work out that way. It seems tribes, races, and sects do hold grudges. Sometimes for a thousand years. And as for sharing different values, many Muslim immigrants and their Saudi and Egyptian spiritual advisors were not as big on multiculturalism as were the West's intellectuals and politicos. The former's secular European neighbors were not regarded as distinct cultural groups with equal cultural and political status, but godless infidels and Zionist apes and swine.

When the geniuses behind multiculturalism finally bothered to venture into Europe's Islamic ghettos they were aghast at the intolerance, misogyny, honor killings, fatwas, female circumcision, forced marriages, allegiance to pan-Islam, and the constant calls for curbs on speech under the guise of banning defamation of religious sentiments.

So if multiculturalism is passe and monoculturalism is ethnocentric, what then is to be done?

The Anglo-Dutch writer Ian Buruma suggests it is pointless to try to assimilate Muslims. Most are simply not interested. Nor are they likely to trade their religion and customs for what they have been told are immoral Western values.

Whoop-de-doo.  What a revelation.  So what do we do Herr Buruma?

Read Buruma and you will find a first-rate example of one of Europe's prominent intellectual's twisted reasoning in all its perplexity: "Many [Muslims] will not abandon their religion, so Europeans must learn to live with them and with Islam," writes Buruma, then, a few paragraphs later contradicts himself in his conclusion: "We must do everything to encourage Europe's Muslim to become assimilated in European societies. It is our only hope." In other words, our only hope is hopeless.

I wanted to suggest a solution, and my first thought was to simply declare that Islam, like pedophilia, is a crime against humanity.  Then I remembered that NAMBLA has free reign in this country, so instead I started drinking early. Everyman for himself.

Canned Sunshine.

If Dar Al Islam wants a war, give 'em a real one.

Burning? Why it's just a few hundred cars in France, torched by the resident France-hating Muslims who will be taking control, soon.

Nothing to worry about. Things will be back to normal in a few days, with only a hundred-or-so cars burned nightly.

I swear, this stuff wouldn't happen in America. Not after the first couple of car torchers got shot, it wouldn't.

Don't the French have some equivalent of a neighborhood watch? I guess not. They just wring their hands and raise taxes to pay for more police.

Brady and those folks do not want us to have guns either. But if they just open there eyes they would understand there is a reason for the second amendment.

[I]f you yield to a threat, you do so in order to avoid war, and more often than not, you do not avoid war. For those before whom you have thus openly demeaned yourself by yielding, will not stop there, but will seek to extort further concessions, and the less they esteem you the more incensed will they become against you. On the other hand, you will find your supporters growing cooler towards you, since they will look upon you as weak or pusillanimous. But if, as soon as you become aware of your adversary’s intentions, you prepare to use force, even though your forces be inferior to his, he will begin to respect you, and, since those with which you were allied will now esteem you, they will be ready to help when you begin to arm, which they would never have done had you given up.
–Niccolo Machiavelli, Discourses Book II, Chapter 14.

{ haven't verified this yet,but I have heard that Britain has banned the teaching of the Holocost in their schools so as to NOT offend and in the name of multiculturism....Why would I not be surprised?

The unfortunate fact is that the Left seems to understand Machiavelli much more than the Right.Even though men(?) and women of the Left will not expend any 'blood, sweat and tears' to defend their countries, that does NOT mean these are peaceful people. The Left is perfectly capable to use rioting, mayhem and bloodshed to accomplish their avowed mission of destroying Democracy.A Left winger,Marxist,Islamofascist or Anarchist will use any means to gain power including individual or mass murder. They are relentless in NEVER seeking compromise and no matter how many times he uses the language of brotherhood and peace, he is out to kill you and destroy your civilization and culture, and gains a little ground, each and every day.The pitiful fact for us in the early years of the twenty-first century,is that he has so many kin and allies right here in the hope of the planet, the USA.
