Agree, 100%. My father spent 30 years in the USNavy, and I did a tour in the Army. Growing up around military peeps, I never knew anybody who was blatantly a leftard. Indeed, the concept is ludicrous. People like Lt. Watada are nothing but instigating pieces of excrement who wish to upset the apple cart of our grand experiment in democracy.
Murtha is a MFCS who hates this country so much that he's sold his soul to the Democratic party. He panders to the lowest of the low, the most worthless of the useless...the leftard who votes for Democrats. Screw him and the jackass he rode in on.
I used to admire john glenn. Then I watched that disgusting display before Sen Fred Thompson that got him another ride into space. He sold whatever credibility he had. It saddened me to no end. What a waste of skin.

I'm former Army but I understand that one of the worst things you can call a Marine is an EX Marine..
I undertand from my Marine buddies that Murtha has acheived that low status.

Duly Noted!
All of my mother’s brothers ran off and joined up after 7 Dec 41. Bob, the eldest, couldn’t make the minimum weight for the Marines and refused to go with any other branch although the Navy said they’d take him conditionally if he got his weight up to 125 before any deployments. Sat around and ate bananas and cheese and ice cream for about 3 weeks, then set up another physical. Drank as much water as he could hold and finally made the weight by about a pound and a half. Came back from the Pacific with 3 bulletholes in him: one by a sniper in Guadalcanal and two during a firefight on Tinian.
He died right after I retired from the Navy (25 years) and barely tolerated the Army and Air Force, calling them pussies and slackers. Only reason he accepted my Navy career resulted from the respect he had for the Navy Corpsmen and Mikeboat drivers. Said they were some brave sonsabitches even tho they WEREN’T jarheads. If I hadn’t stayed in for at least 20, he’d have called me a quitter. Didn’t make any difference if I’d been in any kind of combat or not; he just didn’t see the Navy as much more than a transport outfit.
He was fiercely loyal to the standards and codes and traditions associated with Marines and would have personally denutted Murtha, probably with a trenching shovel, given the chance. Some of my cousins, his nephews, are pretty liberal, and he had NO use for them or their philosophies. His only son deserted from the Navy during Vietnam and ran off to Canada saying that the war was illegal and we were murdering innocent people. Never spoke to his kid again and wrote him out of his will.
Uncle Bob loved the actors who went active duty during WWII, such as Jimmy Stewart, Tyrone Power, and George C. Scott (although Scott actually did his service after the war, the movie Patton made up for it). Absolutely loved Glenn Miller for his contribution. His favorite Marine-turned-actor was Lee Marvin, whom he considered the perfect representative of jarheads and grunts. Also a big fan of Ken Norton (the boxer). Found John Wayne tolerable, by the way. That was indeed a marvelous generation. Glad Bob never had to witness Murtha’s sellout what’s-in-it-for-me perfidy.
The Murtha Hymn:
From the halls of Montezuma,to the shores of Tripoli,
I’ll bleed our nation’s forces, to please my friend, Nancy.
First to run from right and honor, and to keep my wallet green,
I have dishonored the Corps and earned the title, "ex-United States
Marine".
My palm is offered to every sleaze, from Code Pink to fanatic muslim,
I’ve been bought in every clime and place where I could take a sum.
In the snow of far off northern lands and in the sunny tropic scene,
You’ll find me always on the take, the ex-United States Marine.
Here’s to wealth for me and for my whore, whom I have vowed to serve,
In many a strife we’ve run for our life and never found our nerve.
If the Army or the Navy ever look on Heaven’s scene,
they’ll find the streets will be devoid of the ex-United States Marine.
Murtha is indeed an ex Marine. I admire all branchs of service that fought Marine Navy Army AirForce. When you fight and lay it on the line it is all for our country I do not believe one service has a higher degree of courage or guts. I can just imagine what hell it was to be on a ship during a surface battle during WW2 it had to be living hell.I know Vietnam was hell during a fire fight.
Great story eros

While Rodg's away gassing up the aeroplane, can anyone fully explain my compelling desire to watch over and over?
Alear, cause she's way cute doin' that number. Or it's alien mind control. I think I'll watch it again either way...
He's not even an ex,he's a shit smear on urinal wall.
Boazo
Alear - I'm guessing it's the big lips.
He was barely a Marine to begin with. He was an Intel Officer, thus a staff pogue. He wasn't a troop leader, or an Infantry Officer, and those are the keepers of the faith. He's a miserable no-good corksucker, just like John Glenn. When they had to make the choice between serving their country or themselves, they proved who they were.
When we finally plant Murtha, I'm sure that he'll get the full honors of his station, but the honor guard will be outnumbered by the Marines lining up to piss on his grave.
Casca, USMC
Casca, he was a Reservist in an era when that meant 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks in the summer, and a chance to style for the potential voters in a cool uniform. Very different from today. He did an initial tour as a Lieutenant, and then went to VN as a REGIMENTAL S2.
He is the exception that proves the rule of "no such thing as an ex-Marine".
