if you haven't seen it, a great read on immigration here at PL:
'A minor problem arose. Bush administration negotiators and a bipartisan Senate group had been meeting several days a week since February, often with glacial progress. (McCain rarely attended, though his staff was there.) As of Thursday morning, however, agreement hadn’t been reached. A final meeting started at 10 a.m. in hopes of finishing the deal. With a dozen Senators, two Cabinet members (Chertoff and Gutierrez) and perhaps 15 staffers in the room discussing an unpublished documents exceeding 300 pages in length, it was slow going. Senator Cornyn, tacitly supported by Sen. Jon Kyl, pushed hard to streamline legal procedures to allow prompt deportation of illegals. Senator Kennedy resisted.

As the clock moved closer to 1:30 p.m., Senator McCain suddenly lost it. "This is chickenshit," he told Senator Cornyn. "I think it would expedite things if you would just leave the room, Senator, so we can get along with finishing this up." Senator Cornyn responded: "Wait a minute. We’ve been meeting for three months on this in good faith, and now you parachute in here this morning and tell me to leave? I think you’re out of line."

Senator McCain responded: "F--- you! '

Now i never trust reports from the MEDIA off hand without some confirmation.

but clearly, the difference between what Cornyn and Kyl are fighting for, vs. what the likes of the Demonuts are seeking, is a clear reminder the two Parties are exact opposites on many levels.

they are imperfect, and the Senate maybe the very worst (that is why i am not on the former Senator FRED T bandwagon), but to abandon the GOP and the Conservatives within, to give Hillary the Presidency is downright suicide.

I and other conservatives are not giving Hillary anything. I doubt Hillary can be elected President. But the fact is if we lose our nation and way of life because of the actions of renegade Republicans there is no difference and it does not matter. If the Gop pushs this amnesty through they can go to blazes. They will be no better than the damn democrats and our country is still done.Like i said my loyalty is to the USA not the damn Republican party when they are every bit as bad as the donks.

Go to the head of the class Mr. Hamilton.

It is my hope these idiots wake up. We have a crisis in leadership and moral courage now with in the Republican Party. There is a hugh disconnect between the leadership and the Republican base. As i have stated this silent invasion is every bit as dangerous as the islamic terrorist if not more so. The republican leadership can do the right thing or they will go the way of the Whigs.

I've said it before, we need a new party. Call it whatever, just don't allow any politicians to run for office. Only allow regular Joes to run, like people with really good blogs or Computer Graphic Artists.

If anybody runs into McCain tell him that hissing sound following him around is his pompous ass deflating.

Jack Hamilton I could not agree with you more and pray you are right about them coming to their sences.

I also have to add that Fred Thompson is the best hope the Republican Party has to bring back some common sense leadership to the once great party of Reagan. Rudy has cooked his own Goose stumbling over the issue of abortion and his support for amnesty as well and bunchs of crap that is so unrepublican.
