New WMD term

Daffynitions

America's enemies on the left like to downsize the definition of "Weapons of Mass Destruction,"insisting on a  "USDA inspected for freshness" stamp before the term may be used in Irak, as Tim Russert spells it  Police in Brunswick County, NC are going the other way.

A 17-year-old Swansboro High School student was in jail Friday on $1 million bond after being charged with having a weapon of mass destruction - an assault rifle - on the school's campus.

I'm certainly not making light of  what this idiot kid did, but come on already with the language.

It wasn't even an assault rifle. It was an AR-15. Not fully automatic. Not an assault rifle.

But you know Goebbels' "Big lie" theory. Repeat a lie often enough, and people will believe it.

Goebbels was right.

In North Carolina the law refers to firearms and bombs'n stuff which aren't legal for a normal citizen to posess as "weapons of mass death and destruction." I'll take a lawyer's clarification, here, but it sounds like somebody's confused and using the expired Federal language for scary-looking guns (assault weapon). A civilian semi-auto AR-15 is certainly not an assault rifle. Not sure what's goin' on, here.
