That guy is such a f**king putz!
We should, as a nation, collectively feel greatly embarrassed that SOB is even in the senate.
I think if this were WW II and he'd made comments such as he;s made recently, they'd have taken him behind the barn and given him a good what-for. - 6/14/07, 8:29 PM

I'd still like to know who are all the *ssholes are that elected him. It's just like all the cunt-stituants that elected "Mayor for Life" Mr. "Night Owl" May Berry in DC: They deserve him!
But why do *WE* have to put up with his sh*t??!!!

Rodge, I'm a daily reader, never a poster, but I would like to post this here.
It's official. We are surrounded by the overflow from hell. That is the only possible explanation I can come up with tonight to explain why Harry Reid is allowed to govern this nation.
Could they be any more obvious? Reid, Pelosi and the like are in a concerted effort to bring down our country by any means necessary.
Today's revolution that Reid thinks one of the greatest military minds in the world is "incompetent", shows how deep into the pit we have fallen. General Pace has dedicated his entire life to this country. He's led in the most courageous and upstanding manner. The example he's provided to our young soldiers is without even the slightest smudge of impropriety. Like all of our soldiers, he is loyal, dedicated and deserves our thanks and admiration. Harry Reid is not even fit to be used as lining of General Pace's septic tank.
I sit here fuming, thinking about young men and women crawling in the boiling hot sand, sacrificing their sanity and safety to protect people like Reid, and I just can't see the point. Why are they doing this? Better yet, why SHOULD they do it? Separated from family and friends; often young babies they haven't even held yet, only to be stabbed in the heart by their own government officials. Why don't Reid and Murtha just line them up in front of the enemy and have them gunned down. Get it over with. What the hell, why not. That seems to be the only thing that Reid and Murtha get off on. And now, it seems they have been abandoned by our government because they are not as important as illegal immigration.
These so-called leaders in our government criticize the Iraqi people for not standing up fast enough to protect their own. Who is their example to follow? Reid? Pelosi? Puleeze......they don't even stand up for their country, how dare they judge the Iraqis. Reid, Pelosi and Murtha together have what, 250 years experience at freedom and democracy, and have yet to learn what patriotism is. Yet, they expect the Iraqis to know all about it in four short years.
I hope and pray the Iraqi government does NOT follow ours as an example. And I hope and pray that our great soldiers come home soon, go to Capital Hill and kick their sorry asses out of this country.

The above post captures my feelings perfectly. It is odd I was laying in bed thinking about Reid;s comments ref General's Patraus and Pace and I thought of the term Reid is lower than the sludge in a septic tank, He is literally not worth one drop of blood that both these brave men have shed in the past while he sits on his pasty white ass trying to figure out ways to screw the American people and enriching himself and his crooked sons.

I must add something else here. I cannot describe how bitter I am regarding this renegade president that I voted for twice. It is truly miserable watching the country that you fought for and your ancestors fought and died for being destroyed by this idiot and his new best friends in the democrat party. He is worse than Carter as far as his treasnous conduct is concerned. I get up every and look at my scared and broken body and I ask I suffered through this and still suffer everyday so this abject moron can destroy what we fought for. I cannot describe the bitter disapointment. He is rich enough to hire body gards for his two darling kids. However most of us are not that well off. Our kids in 10 years will be forced into compounds to defend them self from marauders after the influx of the next 100 million t6hat has been approved by this bastard. Oh how I bitterly lament the fact I voted for this cocksucker. God save this Nation some how please. Bring the troops home they are needed here.

I'm embarrassed. We've become as crazy on this side of the political spectrum as the lefties. You all realize that, right? I'm a teen, a year shy of voting age, so I'm sure my opinion will by slid aside and attributed to youthful naivety, but ah well. I stopped reading the blog a while ago, call it some kind of premonitory thought, but I saw this stuff coming.
I'm not the kind who likes to wallow in bitterness, slipping only further and further into it. Let's not pretend we're here venting all this. We're swimming in it and stacking it on us deeper. Anyone find it a coincidence that HNAV hasn't posted since he defended Bush and was verbally accosted? Rodge, you've let your blog and comments section develop into a left wing atmosphere. Apparently you can't voice your opinions without being written off as a blind Bush follower.
A pretty liberal guy once said something to the effect that he was asked by a few of his other lefty friends what he thought of the war. The war was one of the few right leaning things he ever mentioned. From that day on, he was written off as a Right winger.
So we've all dropped off, and have become set in the ways of the liberal thought process now? I'm conservative, a Republican, I know that, but pretending one issue that I go against 'the base' on makes me a bad one or a blind one, is idiocy, you should be ashamed for having become that.
I'm ashamed that I've followed this all so closely, that all these pundits and all these bloggers and all these commenter's I found myself taken in by have become just as intolerant and hateful as the left. A bunch of feet stampers who resort to THE most vitriolic and unnecessary insults I've seen. Congratulations. If there was some Righty mothership memo saying we had to outdo the lefty's, 'Mission Accomplished.'
Bush is not a moron. He's not a traitor, he's not the worst president bla bla etc. He's not a cocksuckers, he's not a terrible president, he's not a horrible person, he's not spitting in our face. He's doing what we elected him to do, bring things to the forefront. He probably didn't anticipate, as I don't think anyone could, the reaction his 'loyal' base would have with this. I think he was mistaken in thinking it was a bunch of adults voting for him, not 8 year olds on the verge of throwing a temper-tantrum. Disagree with this, all of it, I wasn't wanting to get some hand clap. I'm sure everything will be argued, and I'm not going to fight back. There are grown up ways to disagree, you've become a caricature of a DailyKos comments section discussing the passage of a troop funding bill.
Rodg, I dunno what happened to you, but you used to strike me as someone who disliked this hateful shit. That's all it is on this blog now, which is why I can't bring myself to come here but on rare occasions.
I'm seventeen. I'm naive, I'm stupid, I'm not privvy to all of the facts, I'm not old enough to understand or vote or this or this. All fair, that's fine. But it's been a long time since I've acted like this when I didn't like something.
I hope Fred Jesus H Thompson is the golden boy we're all hoping. Let's pray to the big man that he lets the base dictate everything about his Presidency, else he feel the wrath of the feet stompers too.

I have got to respond by saying I regret my use of the vulgar term I associated with Bush. I did that in anger. I believe all of us have said something in anger we regret.
I do not however regret anything else I have said. I have supported Bush on the war. I have not supported some of his wild spending and creating new agencies that are not doing the job. Trying to compare the post here to those of Kos is simply dishonest. Also your accusation of vitriolic abuse of another poster is not true either. I yes I guess I will chalk up your dishonest statements to youthfulness. I did have some respect for you but your dishonest accusations have curtailed that. Bush is a terrible President in the fact that he is spiting in the face of the vast majority of Americans. His actions if successful will destroy this country to the point we will not recognize it. It will become simply another 3rd world rat hole. The rule of law and national sovereignty mean something. Evidently you do not understand that yet.
I also reject your characterization of Rodger you are simply on the other side of this issue and this is your method of attack. As for Hnav no one has insulted him or run him off. Your comments about Fred Thompson is very telling as well he did not make any comment on this blog but your tone is very disrespectful and contemptuous when he has not done anything to deserve it.
The fact is the statements other than my vulgar comment which I regret are true. I would also invite you to come back when you have made some sacrifice for this country in the way of service or paying taxes before you judge others so harshly or maybe pick up a few ounces of steel somewhere then I might be inclined to consider your lecture. But first you must start with some truth. I will also have to say i did not see you make any comment when i have had my name brought up and was addressed personally. In my other post on several occcasions I was responding to comments that were directed at me personally. Yes young man you are very much out of line because you are simply on the other side of the issue or you tend to support another candidate you want to feign self righteousness. - 6/15/07, 7:24 AM

Since this was directed at me I will also state I do not wallow in anything. I am up everyday working very hard to stop this atrocity. I I truly do not believe you understand the implication of this legislation and what the result of it will be. - 6/15/07, 7:34 AM

Josh, I'll tolerate any comments as long as they don't strike ME as using distasteful or hateful language, and that standard varies with my mood.
For my part I've been a supporter of Bush, even turning a blind eye to his social program spending habits. But on the Mexican Invasion issue I'm dumbfounded by his utter contempt for the law, and for the will of the American people (80%).
I think Bush showed brilliant vision in recognizing from day one that Iran was the key terrorist player, and his attempt to isolate that rogue nation betwixt a neutered Afghanistan and Iraq was correct. If the plan fails, the blame falls almost entirely on our leftist media and Democrats in Congress. But some of it falls to Bush. His greatest failure as president, as I see it, has been his inability, or refusal, to use his bully pulpit to confront those sometimes downright treasonous MOFOs, and to make his case to the American people, and nowhere is this failure more striking than on immigration.
His posture vis-a-vis Mexico has always left me dumbfounded, and if it hasn't you, then pray tell what instruction did Bush impart that none of us was privy to? His relationship with Vincente Fox, who in the most confrontational manner possible, and quite publicly, created Mexican policy to invade our country, was/is flabbergasting. The Mexican government is actively promoting illegal entry into the United States. I call that an act of war, what do you call it? Move up a few posts and listen to these people. Bush's response then was silence. It still is. He is indeed a bad president here, because he abrogated what little border enforcement law existed when he took office. If he has insight into something none of us know about, the time to explain it was yesterday. My gut feeling is that he has set us on a path toward North American Union without benefit of debate or explanation, and that not only smacks of patrician arrogance, it's despicable and treasonous in itself.
Finally, this blog does not sell subscriptions. It is, rather, a log of how I feel on any given subject at a given moment in time. There you have it. Right now I've decided to make money selling my body to wealthy Hollywood starlets so I have to comb my hair and find a clean shirt.

Rodge,
Ya gotta give the young'un, Josh, credit. He puts together some mighty fine words. Right or wrong, naive or more wise than us, it does my heart good to know there are young conservatives like that.
I've read this blog every day for years, and have appreciated your insight and humor on many subjects. Thanks for that.
You, as the owner here, can say anything you want. Others = not so much. It got a bit too personal the other day. Speaking for me, I enjoy reading both sides of an issue - as long as both sides come from the right side :).
I hope the adventure with the Hollywierd starlets helps you relax a bit - ifyouknowwhatImeanandIthinkyoudo.

You can put me down as pissed off as Jack is about the President trying to push this immigartion crap. And don't forget, Bush, just last week inferred anyone that didn't see the beauty of this compromise was stupid and a bigot.
I don't where you live Josh, but I lived in Denver. In the commercial part of town. My property was constantly being vandalized, broken into, anything not nailed down was stolen. I had 6 German Shepherds dogs and weapons everywhere. And I used them on numerous occasions. That means I fired them. And take 1 guess, every time, who were doing the crimes. That's right, ILLEGAL aliens. Every time I held these motherfuckers for the cops, EVERY TIME, it was no hablo English. And than these mother fuckers would turn to me, and in English tell me they were coming back for me. And once they did and there was a lot of shells and blood down the alley.
Great way to live huh Josh? Had those buildings set up to put $25,000/month in my pocket, but you what, I sold them. Eff it.
If that piece of garbage gets turned into law, Robert Rector estimates up to another 100 million LEGAL immigrants will flood here in the next 40 years and positively destroy our culture. This crap about a path to citizenship is a fantasy. They are high school drop outs, who have lived in corrupt, socialist systems. They come here and use our country like toilet. And if(when) they are allowed to vote, kiss this country good bye. They will vote overwhelmingly democrat. If you think W has gone overboard with spending, imagine an unassailable democrat majority as far as you can see into the future. Think western Europe on steroids.
I don't apologize for my profanity. I'm sick to death that this man I voted for, worked for, gave $1,000s to, is doing this to my country. Prescription drug bill, gaggo, Harriet Meirs, lord, unbelievable spending, I was still there, pussified response to Iran, near the straw, but this bill, sorry, that's it. Yeah he was right on with Alito and Roberts and his steadfastness with the tax cuts, dittos.
But this immigration bill is a country killer. I see the dems doing it for their usual despicable reasons, but Republicans???? I fear for my daughter and her family's future.

The above post says a lot. But I assure you it will not take anywhere near 40 years. with in 8 years the 20 million already here will bring there cousin Jose and Conchita. and it will be 60 million in about 8 years. It will first be seen in border stated then spread to places like colorado first. His daughter and most people will be forced to live in a compound for protection from the indignant mexicans taking what they feel is rightfully their's and was stolen by the anglo's. After all they are establishing Atzlan and all belongs to them. It will be right out of escape from New York. Mark my words unless we get control of this situation now you will live to see it.

Said I wasn't gonna argue, will clarify though. I do like Fred Thompson, I don't know where I stand on the immigration bill, but I'm pretty sure if I was against it I could find some meaningful way of attacking it.
And I pay taxes, Jack. I've been working for about 4 months now. Not alot, but I've seen how much they suck from my meager check.
Rodgers voice has been a lot tamer than he's let the comments become. Wasn't so much commenting on his posts, but his commenter's.

And yes, that bill is a country killer, only "people" that don't get it are the pols and business folks who will profit from it (both sides of the borders).
When there was the big beef recall (maybe just the current one) I got to thinking about hearing that the illegals and mexicans were going to start shitting in our food (how many muslims / mexi's / illegals work in the food processing / supply chain?), is that what happened to cause that (and maybe all the other tainted food supply recalls)? Seems to be a disproportionate number of wildfires for a while now too, any correlation? No longer willing to dismiss these ideas out of hand as paranoid.
Nope, greed won't destroy the greatest country this planet will ever know.
I ran into a woman from Canada, been a naturalized US citizen for the past 28 years, the other day while waiting to be checked out (mexicans and arab cashiers *all*) and her take on the whole thing is that it is already too late and that the country has been sold out to the mexi's years ago. She is heading back to Canada - as she said - what does that tell you. Just a matter of time for them too.
Disgust is just too kind and inadequate a word...
It is just funny how *the people* understand this fiasco - and more interestingly the people from all sides of the political spectrum.
"Of, by and for the people"? The medieval robber barons are back and better than ever with the assistance of the LSM.

but that is not how it reads quote"Rodg, I dunno what happened to you, but you used to strike me as someone who disliked this hateful shit. That's all it is on this blog now, which is why I can't bring myself to come here but on rare occasions." I also believe if you examine my past post util my comment this morning the worse word you would read from me is hell, damn, or ass. A great deal different than the stuff you read on Kos. I do not want this blog to get that way either. I can not expect you maybe to understand the immigration issue but i also know that despite you very good ability to write. i observed some honesty issue and I realize that you were offended at me once before because you took a comment out of context. But I do hope you get a tax refund. - 6/15/07, 4:40 PM

Are the comments not apart of 'this blog'? I'm sorry, I thought that's how the comment would read. I'm fully capable of understanding the problems posed by immigration. I've lived in Washington (Orchard state) Oregon (Orchard State) Colorado (Orchard state) Texas (Border state) and now Arizona (Border state). It's not as though I'm somehow not effected by the problems it poses. I just haven't looked at the bill. It's hard to get straight information when you have two sides screaming for the same means. It's not lenient enough or it's too lenient. How do I get information from a neutral party so I know my opinion is the right one, if there is no neutral.
It was never a discussion about immigration. Was just kind of disappointed into how people were acting about it. I've seen some bad things discussed here that didn't raise this kind of feeling. I can't imagine if they were revisited the way us righties are acting now.
I have my views on what I'd like to see done, as far as immigration goes. Anyone who's known me here for the last 3 years knows I would. All I'm saying is I don't know the bill specifically. To read the comments, you'd think Bush had issued a mandatory rape resolution for children under the age of 4.

your words regarding not understanding not mine. there are 20 americans killed everyday by illegal aliens. Some days more. Either by DWI or by murder out right. some of those are rape victims. when the numbers increase so does violent crime. If you have lived in all those states you should have some understanding what unasimulated aliens can do and the hardship they bring. I worked in all the states you mentioned serving warrants at one time or the other. just stop and talk to some blue collar workers and ask them how there life has been effected by the illegal aliens. Check the guys that used to earn 12 to 14 bucks an hour and were replaced by an illegal that said i will do it for 6 bucks an hour. Check thejail's where 35& of the population is Illegal aliens. the cost is phnominal. It is a fact over a trillion dollar's a years is going to illegal aliens. ask the people where hospital's have been shut down because of illegal's running them to bank ruptcy. Check out the failing scholl's that are failing to even give American's any decent standard of education because so many resources have to go to illegal's.
Bush is suppose to protect this nation from invasion and that is any kind of invasion. He has failed and he has never gave great importance to this problem because he does not want any border. Read what Julius ceaser even said about nations that cannot control there borders. So you comment about the raped child might not be to far off. as for your disapointment as to how people are acting about it you might one day understand that many americans are heavily invested in this country and have loved and sacrificed for it. The majority of illegals do not want to be Americans they just want money. when I say maybe you will come to understand I really do mean that. but for now God Bless you. - 6/15/07, 5:17 PM
