Sink already, will you?

A Rose by any name ...

Sawyer-Witherspoon - California Kooks
First off, if there is consensus today on man-caused global warming, it's that there is none, and Al Gore is not only wrong, but insanely so. Not a week goes by without reports like This or This, or This. surfacing.  Still, since this was political calculus to begin with, and, as has become the case today, there is no way  of rolling back gains made by leftist engineers of any BIG LIE. In California, surely the biggest repository of kooks, idiots, and True Believers extant, dime-store junk science has the citizenry hornswaggled to the point of out-lawing climate change. But that's not what this is about.

There is a crisis brewing amongst California Air Resources Board members  As a result we get to peek at their world view. Read the words carefully (okay, I'll emphasize):

SACRAMENTO The executive director of the California Air Resources Board resigned Monday, saying the governor's office had made it impossible for her to do her job by interfering with the implementation of the state's landmark global warming law.

"I think they're trying to control it, and they don't have a very cogent vision for what's needed," said Catherine Witherspoon, who has managed the agency since 2003.

Witherspoon's resignation comes days after the board's chairman, Robert Sawyer, a retired University of California, Berkeley engineering professor, was ousted by the governor.

Witherspoon said she felt some of the governor's top aides were trying to keep information from him so he would not endorse more far-reaching action to put the global warming law into effect. The law, AB32, is the nation's first cap on greenhouse gas emissions and calls for a 25 percent reduction by 2020.

The picture Witherspoon painted of a governor who was being misled and micromanaged by a staff that was trying to weaken the global warming law out of fear that it would harm businesses

These are people with no understanding of, or appreciation for, a free market economy.  Or "inconvenient truth."  If you dressed them in those funny quilted uniforms, and ear flapped hats the Chinese commies wore in Korea, there'd be no ideological difference, except that it was considered virtuous to eliminate that earlier version, one way or another..  Now you'd prolly get a ticket.

Would a significant explosion on the San Andres fault line, be the catalyst for the "Big One" that would rid America of California?

Did you see this story from Drudge? Humans overuse the sun!.

Haha- so now I guess we are going to run out of solar energy? Glad I didn't waste time installing solar panels.
