Union Thugs

Help me out here

Why would a dissing from union thug firefighters who backed John Kerry and Hillary Clinton hurt Rudy? I see it as a badge of honor.

Here you go Rodge. "Rudy Giuliani tied to 'superhighways'" by Jerome Corsi

Have you forgotten? Since 9/11 all firefighters are heroes. Including the once hired since then.

You know they have unassailable hero status if Oliver Stone makes a film extolling them.

The previous commenter pretty much hit it. We respect and admire the firefighters, and we're expected to be sympathetic to their views.

I find it interesting how these views weren't expressed back in 2001, but now that Rudy's running for president...

It'll be kinda like when they trace the DC Madam's phone numbers to me. Some would have a problem with that, but those I respect would treat it as a badge of honor.

Well, some would. My mom certainly'd pretend it never happened, but vote for me anyway.

Speaking as someone who had lots of respect for firemen before 9/11 I know the "hero" status went to their heads. I worked for a city at the time and they actually believe all the bullshit that is written about them by adoring fans. A bunch of prima donnas, great to have when you need them but not worth a shit for anything else

Speaking of union troublemakers... does anyone remember the story from West Virginia (Huntington, I think??) where the union types were screaming at some guy and his daughter, and one thug tore the little girl's sign apart?

Did anyone discover the name of the thug from the picture? That story just disappeared...
(The guy probably went into hiding for his life).

I'd like to find him and/or the "flag crapper" punk from Seattle and work out some frustration on them with a sack full of doorknobs.

Nothing says "I care" like deep bruising to the kidneys and liver.

I think Rudy did a great job as Mayor of NY but that is mayor not President of the United States. I do not believe Rudy will get the nomination much less be President. He just cannot maintain and carry the base.

Thanks iMarcM for the news link. Interesting to me as I'd not heard or read of it before.
