Woe is me

How Liberal Dems, Major Media
Perpetuate A Cycle Of Negativity

What do you see?
Here are some of the resuts of a Investors Business Daily series, Beyond The Bias:

Democrats were also much more bearish than Republicans on specific economic issues. For example:

• Fewer than one in eight of Democrats (7%) feel the Bush tax cuts have been positive for the economy, compared with 58% of Republicans.

• Two of three Democrats (67%) think a recession is likely in the next 12 months, vs. 42% of Republicans.

• Almost four of five Democrats (78%) consider the federal budget deficit a major problem vs. 56% of Republicans.

• Almost three in five Democrats (58%) consider the U.S. trade deficit a major problem vs. 39% of Republicans.

The study [IBD/TIPP Poll ] tracks attitudes resulting from media covereage of the economy.  This pretty mush says it all.

"For example," says Raghavan Mayur, president of TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence, IBD's polling partner, "when the media put out a story that the economy is sinking, Democrats will toe the line regardless of what the reality is.

"Fewer than one in eight of Democrats (7%) " Fewer than 1 in 8 is around 12%; 7% would be about 1 in 12.

What I see are melons being offloaded and a fortuitously timed photograph.
