Bullcrap.  I can see it now. 

Friend "What's the matter sister?" How come you don't go to class, or to no school dances no more?"
Kia (sobs):  "Everybody thinks I'm a Ho."
Coach: "Kia, don't forget you have a recruiting visit  with team Ancowitz at noon."
Kia:  "But I wanted Johnny Cochran"
Friend:  I know Kia, but that motherfucker be dead.
Kia:  *Sigh*

No, no, no. This is good. Let Kia sue Imus and MSNBC. They'll all spend money like water shooting out of a fire hose. It will give them something to do other than spending their time bothering us.

Just like the Iran/Iraq war, it's a win-win situation for the good-guys.

Wait a second. In order to "ruin" ones reputation, that person must have a reputation to begin with.

I had never, ever heard of her. Didn't even know her college had a women's basketball program. Didn't care either.

Frankly, my opinion of her is poor precisely because she's now suing someone who called her naughty words rather than respond like an adult. I would actually respect her if she called a press conference and said something like: "Don Imus is a fool at the end of his career. Apology accepted. Sharpton & Jackson, please butt out. This matter is over."

Or co-opt Imus' style with: "Don Imus? Tell that pasty prune-faced honkey and his skanky skinny-ass ho wife to either play me in a two-on-one basketball game for charity or shut his piehole."

But running straight to the lawyer's office? That's the mark of a loser in life. Someone who doesn't believe in themself grasping desperately at every dangled carrot.
