Not ready for primetime?

I don't know what's going on with Fred. Here it is August and he still hasn't entered the race, still hasn't stepped up to the plate. My sense is that he's squandered the opportunity.

I really do not believe he has up untill this election no Presidential canidate has ever announced before september. I believe people are already starting to get burnt out on the ones that have announced. i believe fred will be the front runner from jump street. I could be wrong but doubt it.

Jack, I'm with you on this one. Even Republicans can get sick of their people, especially when they look close and realize that the GOP frontrunners, by and large, look like inmates at the RINO house at the zoo. Fred, to my way of thinking - even with his few faults, is the realist deal we got. And as for his "faults", I believe that the last perfect guy that walked this earth, got nailed to the tree for His troubles.

I'm speaking for myself, and I'm more than a little antsy over why he would insinuate a Memorial day announcement, then more or less announce a 4th of July jump-in, and now - approaching the middle of August ... what? Or more pointedly, why the false starts? My sense is that he's worried about something. A month ago he led many polls; not now. He's lost the Big Mo.

Also, we've never in the past had primaries in the first week of February that could settle the issue.

I'm just saying.

To be clear, I hope you Jack, and Fred's gay hooker, are right on this issue. But I want to see him mix it up and prove that the Senate Commie-gate hearings, where I think Fred lost command, was an abberation.

Could it be Fred's been around Hollywood types long enough to recognize the value of "The Tease"? Then again, I've seen performers wait way too long and loose 'em. In that case, I'll stick to women.

Over at Redstate some folks have posted that Fred needs to wait until the summer reruns of "Law & Order" have finished because the networks would be required to give equal time to the other candidates.

I'm of the same line of thinking as jack hamilton. Coming out (no pun;)) too soon puts him in the mess the Dems created in the first place. The -recently thawed out cave man- syndrom. IF Fred's team is planning an American holiday announcement, let us not forget...Labor Day!
It's a huge party at our house every year. Maybe we'll add his name to the invite list.:)

Jack is 100% correct. He has all the time in the world to announce. People want him in. As soon as he announces, he'll sky to the top of the republican polls and by February will be kicking the crud out of any 1 on 1 democrat comparison. Hilary is hoping that someone takes Fred out. Otherwise, her dream gets flushed down the toiliet. Fred will smoke her like those cigars Bill was shoving up Monica...

Just give him a danged minute -- those face lifts don't heal quite so fast when yer *cough* a gentleman of a certain age...
