Seething out of control

Today's Sniping

Oops .. almost forgot Murtha
This is all Drudge stuff that you've more than likely spotted, but I think it's noteworthy. As news - somehow- is spreading that Bush's surge policy in Iraq is bearing fruit, Democrats are getting very testy about almost everything. Consider. Heir to Chicago's Jackson crime family, Rep. Jesse Jr ...
. , said during a contentious floor debate, that Republicans can't be trusted. Republican Terry responded by telling Jackson to "shut up," then walked over to add that he had found the Illinois lawmaker's comment inappropriate. Terry said Jackson let loose a profanity-filled tirade. "I'm not going to turn with my tail between my legs," Terry said, "so I just stood there." Then Jackson asked Terry if he'd care to step outside.
I've bemoaned the outlawing of the duel before. Think about the opportunity Nebraska Rep. Lee Terry might have had in happier times. Rep.Jackson's assertion that "Republicans can't be trusted" is almost as precious as John Edwards saying that Fox News Channel has a right- wing bias and Democrats should avoid the company [News Corp]. That, while demanding that Hillary return $20,000 in donations from News Corp. officials. But wait! We learn that Edwards himself took $800,000 from Murdoch. Anyway, back to the bidness at hand. Democrat self-destruction. Just a few days ago ...
North Dakota’s U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy calls President Bush a “clown” and says he “can’t stand” him in a new video posted on the Internet.
Okay, not as inclusive as DNC Chairman Howard Dean's declaration that "I hate Republicans, and everything they stand for," but then Pomeroy doesn't lead the democrat Party. Lotta Hate going on in that party, eh wot? I think it's time for a flashback. But first, this news, that didn't happen.

Is this the same Jessie Jackson, Jr. who was somehow awarded an Anheuser Busch distributorship about 10 years ago?

Wonder how that happened?

I have no doubt that his dad was busy extorting money with threatened boycotts at the time.

In view of the fact that AB doesn't, to my knowledge, sell malt liquour in quarts, you would think that a boycott by the Rainbow Coalition wouldn't strike fear in the heart of the AB executives.

And where is Andrew Jackson (the only Tn Democrat I would have ever voted for) when you need him.

DC needs to remove whatever dueling laws it has on the books.

AB actually does have a very fare internal promotion program. It's called work your ass off and get promoted. Regardless of race, creed, etc..No doubt they had to succumb the the Black King of Extortion Family but it's a no brainer, Chitown is Miller Country. They did have a malt likker product line called Budman, came in a black can. Better judgement prevailed and they killed it.

Did JJ,Jr. get his franchise by working his can off within AB and getting a merit promotion?

Thanks for the info about Budman.

I am glad that I missed it.

Before I got sober, I used to drink around 3 sixpacks of Bud everyday, whether I needed to or not.

Can't say that there is anything I miss about that lifestyle, but that's a story for another day.

As a former (and native) St. Louisan, I have always had a lot of respect for AB, even moreso before it sold the Cardinals.

I got the impression (by way of simply assuming, I might add) that JJ,Jr. got his franchise through a threatened boycott by his dad or otherwise through his dad's influence, but maybe I was wrong.

JJ,Sr. was sure busy shaking down a lot of corp's back then, when people (other than Cindy "Jungle Fever" Sheehan) would still take his call.

Maybe he will once again find the door to the White House open if Hillary wins.

Isn't it funny how they keep saying "Stop the hate." But are so vocal about those they hate namely those that disagree with them.
