Comeuppance

 Stirring the Pot

Today's ne plus ultra of comeuppances has to be this:

The death sentence is AppropriateA federal judge has ordered Rep. Jack Murtha (D-Pa.) to testify in a defamation case related to the deaths of Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha in 2005, according to the Associated Press.

Murtha, a former Marine. accused Marines of "cold-blooded murder and war crimes'' during the Haditha incident. Frank Wuterich, a Marine sergeant involved in the incident, has sued Murtha for libel and invasion of privacy over his comments.

According to AP, U.S. District Judge Rosemary M. Collyer wants Murtha to explain why he made this statement and any documents he has related to the incident.

In a time when a well documented, albeit unprosecuted as yet,  perjurer and felon is the Democrat Party front runner for president, and Hollywood makes a movie about Jimmy Carter that does not star Pee Wee Herman in the title role, nor is produced by the Farley Brothers, little victories like this help keep hope alive.  What's that?  The judge's ruling makes no sense?  Do you mean like Scooter Libby's?  Eat me.

I sooo want to sit on that jury, especially when it comes to the award part.
Another thing; I hope there comes a public, dressy function where Murtha is visibly shunned by Marines. An "about face" would do nicely as he reviews the troops.

Now if only Pricaso would team up with Mr. Inky the squid we'd have federal art grant material!
