curcumin and curcuminoids

Hot Stuff

Three women old enough to be covered by Medicare are kibitzing and one says; "Lord, I find myself opening the refrigerator and forgetting what it was I was after"  The second pipes in, "I know the feeling.  Just this morning I put my glasses on the table and then couldn't find them."  The third says, "Thank God I haven't had that problem yet, knock on wood," and she raps the table three times.  "Oh," she says, "someone's at the door, I'll get it."

What country do you suppose has virtually no incidence of Alzheimer's?   Click for the answer.

I learned this on Oprah's show with Dr. Oz last week.  He identified Turmeric as the agent thought to be responsible.  I use Turmeric on occasion to give rice a yellow color, but am going to start ... start ... start the car?  No.  wait ... .  Just kidding.  Prollem is, I hate Indian food, and so does MoSup, so I'm going to order some of this.  You should too, or start eating curry up the yin-yang.

You're not taking Curcumin? Why? I take 1,100mg/every few days, have for years. It's an amazing antioxident. I take a half dozen different antioxidents a day. Curcumin also has many other purported properties. Fairly inexpensive too. If you take it as a supplement, make sure there is this black pepper extract with it as it increases absorbtion tremendously. I belong to Life Extension and their monthly mag, as I recall, said a daily dose might not be necessary.

As for your yellow color for rice Rog. Several years ago I started using saffron in my rice, which I eat almost daily. Fantastic taste and 1 ounce, which I get for $32, lasts over 6 months. I also have started adding it to my home made salad dressing.
Wonderful spice.
