Refinishing floors is a hellofajob, Rodger, but it looks like you did the right thing and rented a proper sander. I've seen people try it with a simple belt sander and just about ruined their floors (plus it took two days).
Just be sure to pick a nice warm day to do the stain so you can open up the windows. That polyurethane stinks like crazy for the first 24 hours. --Jack -
