Shoot an Invader for Hayzooz

Alien and drug smugglers along the U.S.-Mexico border have spawned a rise in violence against federal, state and local law-enforcement authorities, who say they are outmanned and outgunned.

"They've got weapons, high-tech radios, computers, cell phones, Global Positioning Systems, spotters and can react faster than we are able to," said Shawn P. Moran, a 10-year U.S. Border Patrol veteran who serves as vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 1613 in San Diego.

"And they have no hesitancy to attack the agents on the line, with anything from assault rifles and improvised Molotov cocktails to rocks, concrete slabs and bottles," he said.  [Lawmen under siege along Mexico border]

I'm re-presenting my solution to this crap in the hope that people are finally fed-up enough to take the responsibility our government refuses.  The picture speaks for itself.  A series of robot machinegun stations along our border, each sponsored and manned by retired military, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, and Indian Guides. Why kids? They have too much time on their hands, and are merciless when it comes to applying peer pressure.  They'll monitor the border via home computer, and blast the shit out of anything that moves on the Mexican side.  Cheap, effective, and patriotic.  I suggest we use the campus of Evergreen College as a beta test site. Nobody enters.  Nobody leaves.  I'm excited.

In my version of this, anyone and everyone would “man” these guns. A web site would allow anyone with a credit card to buy time to look through the gun sites and fire the guns. $25 for 15 minuets or 3 shots, whichever comes first. Volunteers could cover the unbooked time, if any. Even with repairs (from being attacked?) and reloading, these gun stations could be self-sustaining or maybe earn a profit. All shots are recorded on video and the positive hits only posted, then when viewed online by others (perhaps before they buy time themselves?) an ad for cars, pizza, tires, ???, would be superimposed on the video for 5 seconds just BEFORE the shot but not over the shot.

The pay-per-shoot scheme above sounds great to me. I'd pay.

A website with 2 revenue streams. The first is subscription based, $25 for shots or time. The 2nd ad based, show ads to non subscribers…:“This dead illegal brought to you by Taco Bell“. I see a huge profit for such a venture. I'd pay too.
