You know I've come to the conclusion that Tuesdays just suck.
Last Tuesday I kept getting bad news at work from our lousy HR department and numerous other things.
Today, Fred drops out, I find out my upright vacuum cleaner has a dead motor and of course its not available. Then I find out I'm not going to finish up with my degree this spring like I planned so will drag this out longer. BAH!!!!

If I couldn't come here and bitch and whine I would be like the photo! I'm ready to bomb - fire that baby up!!!

Scream, kick, stomp my feet, kick things, flail around on the floor and hold my breath!

Seriously, I worry about the future of our country now.

All I can say is...

What do we do now?

Rockville,
The only thing I can come up with is hope that Fred will be someone's VP - someone without long to live.

McCain-Thompson?

NOT McCain....!!!! That man is nutz.

Romney/Thompson, maybe, just maybe.

I want to puke.

Yeah but McCain is older so that makes my idea work a little better. Although I think I'd prefer Romney/Thompson ( since I can't have what I really want!)

Geeze Rodge, did you have to rub salt in the wound by linking to an AP story about it? I can almost hear the reporter giggling as he gleefully wrote that. Do you think they could have shoehorned in any more thinly veiled plugs for McCain?

Pick your hard commie, muzzie or RINO, that is all that is left.

Maybe Ron Paul is an option now, lets just get it all flowing down the toilet and get it over with.

Fred was the only choice, the rest is a solid why bother - no a spit worth of difference between any of them that might stand a chance of being good.

Last person the leave the USA, please turn out the lights after folding and burning the flag.

Prepare yourself, Romney will take it for the Repubs, prolly the best of the lot. Maybe he takes Fred for VP?

I can only guess that the comments so far were made by those of you who didn't live through the Carter years. Those were preceded of course by the mediocrity that was Ford stealing the convention from Ronaldus Magnus. The party insiders, and special interests shoved their beltway stooge down the party faithful's throat. Conservatives mostly stayed home, ecce Carter.

Notwithstanding a brokered convention, we're about to relive this episode. Carter begat Reagan, what will be the backlash against the Hildebeast and the eternal boy liar? The nation trembles.

Cinch up your harnesses back there. We're heading through a flak box.

Anonnymous--

Only problem is, I don't see another Reagan anywhere.

Does this mean Jackboot Janet is coming back as AG?

Tail gunner to captain, reporting that I just saw a large section of the rudder blow off, I hope we have enough surface area left to make it to the target and return to base. Out.

Go read the Anchoress's latest. The next President probably gets to name 3 - 4 Supreme Court justices. We can't sit this one out.

If the best conservatives can muster up is a guy who quit the Senate in the aftermath of 9/11 and went Hollywood, then we're in trouble.

I like Fred. He would've been a powerful candidate in 2008 had he answered the call in 2002, and continued serving in the Senate at a time when this country truly needed his leadership and wisdom. Instead, he answered the call from his agent.

Others above are right. We CAN'T let the Dems pack the Supreme Court with more 3 or 4 Ginsburgs. Gotta back the best of the rest -- and for me that's Romney or Rudy. DD

Romney is our only hope. The rest are no better than the beast and the magic negro. Folks we will survive. It will be hard but I lived through Carter. The next choice is bring Patreus and the troops home and put the surge in Washington DC.

And, to top it off, Heath Ledger died.

I've had better Tuesdays.

Photo was from Heath Ledger's webcam....

....what....Too soon????

Jack,
I lived through Carter (which made me the conservative I am today) and you're right, Romney is our only hope.

Although the only one I would absolutely not vote for is Huckabee (well and of course that whackjob Ron Paul), the others if they are the nominee I'll vote for them rather than stay home but I won't be happy about it.
