Georgy Porgy

Shimmering Chimera

Georgy Porgy, pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry.
When the boys came out to play,
The gutless wonder ran away.

George McGovern, Democrat Party wise man Emeritus, and private sector hotel magnate is compelled to call for the Impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.  [Nixon Was Bad. These Guys Are Worse.].

The nation would be much more secure and productive under a Nixon presidency than with Bush. Indeed, has any administration in our national history been so damaging as the Bush-Cheney era?

But what are the facts?

Bush and Cheney are clearly guilty of numerous impeachable offenses.

Holy crap, someone is finally going to flesh-out a bill of particulars for that get-even impeachment the goofy left have been calling for since January, 2000.  You have the floor George.

  • They have repeatedly violated the Constitution. They have transgressed national and international law. They have lied to the American people time after time. Their conduct and their barbaric policies have reduced our beloved country to a historic low in the eyes of people around the world. These are truly "high crimes and misdemeanors," to use the constitutional standard.
  • From the beginning, the Bush-Cheney team's assumption of power was the product of questionable elections that probably should have been officially challenged -- perhaps even by a congressional investigation.
  • In a more fundamental sense, American democracy has been derailed throughout the Bush-Cheney regime. The dominant commitment of the administration has been a murderous, illegal, nonsensical war against Iraq.
  • All of this has been done without the declaration of war from Congress that the Constitution clearly requires, in defiance of the U.N. Charter and in violation of international law.
  • The Bush-Cheney team repeatedly deceived Congress, the press and the public into believing that Saddam Hussein had nuclear arms and other horrifying banned weapons that were an "imminent threat" to the United States. The administration also led the public to believe that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attacks -- another blatant falsehood. Many times in recent years, I have recalled Jefferson's observation: "Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just."
  • Blah-same old crap-blah

Stop the music!  Can you find even a single charge that hasn't been a staple of the Cindy Sheehan-Kos faction for years?  No.  McGovern is fishing that same sea of tarrradiddle.  Twisted versions of fact, outright lies, and other chimeric fantasy we've been served time and again by disgruntled losers, and not a citation in sight to back any of them up.  McGovern risks his sterling reputation ... .  Oh.  Hah.  Never mind.

Van Helsing has the McGovern picture du jour.

Of course there is no substance to any of these charges if there were practically all democrats including the Clintons and there administration would have to be prosecuted as well. McGovern is insane I believe him and Ron Paul should sit up house keeping together both are mentally ill. Then they could have Prince Arragon and Dennis Kuchich as there personal butt boys. These people are a waste of human flesh.

Don't mind crazy old George. He's gone insane hearing the ghosts of the two million Cambodians, South Vietnamese, and Laotian innocents who were slaughtered by communist animals after Georgie and his pals abandoned southeast Asia. And like a true insane person, he wants to abandon Iraq to the same fate. DD

One wonders how that B-24 ever made it back to Blighty. That's right, there was a navigator. I'll bet he was a Republican.

The lefties are on the mission of constantly, non-stop, repeating the same bullshit over and over thinking that doing so will make their assertions true. They don;t need to base any accusation on an actual fact or data point, just keep making the statement(s) until everyone else acknowledges them as the truth. Unfortunately for them, the rest of us would need a lobotomy to buy into their fantasy world.

"The administration also led the public to believe that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attacks -- another blatant falsehood." See? Even McGovern himself admits that he's lying.
