This
is just too, too precious. After one year of being Speaker of the
House, Nancy Pelosi and her ruling democrats cannot point to a single
accomplishment with
positive energy. Not one. So this, it seems, is what she
has to hang her hat on. A new, "environmentally friendly
and socially progressive" menu in the congressional cafeteria .
What that means, in a nutshell,
is this - San Francisco Bay area snob cuisine for blue plate
specials. "Pan-roasted Chesapeake rockfish with sweet potato
fennel hash and yellow pepper relish," replace meatloaf and mashed
potatoes. "Vegetables with funny names, like bok choy, arugula and
jicama." replace peas and carrots. Somehow I can't see the
guys down the Stoney Creek Democratic Club drinking Chablis and saying
"Pass the almond couscous." Maybe this will, finally, wake
them, and others like them, the hell up. Sheesh.
