I recall seeing something very similar to that in my grandparents house. Even our house had at least one religious icon in most rooms.

My priest has these all over his house.

As I read the post and looked at the pic, I am looking at a similar, but not identical switch plate across the room. It features an angel above the switch, and two children to the lower left of the switch.
The answer to the question: "Were" is not the issue; the issue is that you must believe that such innocence "is" possible..... -
