Don't get too complacent

It's still winter out there, until it isn't.

At the risk (lol) of seeming a crapulent flibbertigibbet, I am hoppy-toading all over this democrat nomination drama.  The religious fervor Obama-Rama instills, without benefit of saying a single thing that's plausible, is very scary.  More scary than Her Filthiness?  I think, yes.  Today, anyway. All this is to say that I will be delighted to see one of them lose, and terrified about the winner - but less so Hillary.  Gah!  And don't tell me you aren't all over the place yourself on this.  Anyway, here's a decent analysis of where things stand with that bunch..

The Un-Democrats

In short, Obama has the charisma, but Hillary has the organization. And there's the Democrats' dilemma.

Of the delegates needed to win, 796, or 39% of the total, are "super delegates" — members of Congress, party functionaries and activists who are technically free to vote as they wish and beholden to no one, at least not directly.

Imagine for a moment that Obama has a lead in the delegate count going into the convention, with Clinton trailing slightly — which looks entirely possible. Further imagine that Clinton, using her husband's extensive ties to the Democratic establishment and legendary ability to persuade, gets the bulk of the super delegates.

Imagine still further that Clinton gets the Democratic Rules Committee to seat all those delegates in Michigan and Florida who were earlier disallowed by the Democratic National Committee for moving up their primaries.

(On Wednesday, Clinton found an ally in the NAACP, which said the Democratic Party's refusal to count the Michigan and Florida delegates was tantamount to a disenfranchisement of African-American voters).

What really tickles me is how bewildered all the Donks are who have realized that the Clintons are just as vile as the Packs have always said they were.

Neither Clinton nor Obama can be considered serious candidates by any adult.
However, Americans have sometimes voted rather childishly. See Carter, Jimmah.
So, I want Hillary buried now, in the primary season.

If it comes down to those Florida and Michigan delegates, I can see one side running to court to seek an injunction to slam the brakes on the convention. Then it's off to the races.

Oh, the irony.

Yowza!
