sawed off shotguns full auto or shoulder stocked pistols/short-barreled rifles are a 200 tax stamp. You local sheriff needs to sign off on it & state laws on NFA guns vary.
Of note the 30 round Sherer mags are legal (excluding in California and available quite reasonably) Makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that the wife has a couple spare mags in her truck.

They used to be a simple $5 NFA, but you still needed it to be registered. I await clarification on this.

The $5 NFA tax is for AOW ( Any Other Weapons ).
AOW is the catch all for odd crap like trap guns, penguns, breifcase guns, cane guns, and other wieries that don't look like guns.
Since this one looks like a weapon when it is ready to shoot ( you can't shoot it while it is folded ), it is not an AOW.
It is, however, a short barreled rifle, which does require a $200 tax. Individuals need a sheriff's signature ... but an LLC or a revokeable trust does not. Have your LLC buy it, with yourself listed on the Form 4 as the "Responsible Person". -

The laws must have changed since I last looked into SBRs in the early 90's. In the 80's you could send an app to the BATF to make a short-barreled rifle, and if approved, it fell into the AOW catagory with only a $5 transfer. For a while in the late 80's somebody was selling legal short-barreled 12GA shotguns. I turned up an 8" barrel for the M1 cabine at a gun show and REALLY wanted to do it. I wish I'd made a few back then. I blame Clinton.
